if you go to get megs 26 at adavnce it might not be with the normal OTC waxes, try looking where they have the other Meguiars Mirror glaze line, usually in one of the center isles near the stuff for body work.

If you're using OTC products, have you tried using Meg's Ultimate Polish when you wax? It will bring out a great wet-looking shine. Before I switched to Adams' products I used to use this, and top it off with Meg's Quick Detailer Spray.

And look, there's even a Camaro on the polish label!

The best way to know if your using it correctly is to follow MFG application. Most OTC waxes are the type you allow to dry. After the 15-45 minutes or whatever the MFG states, do a swipe test.

Prior to waxing you should clay the surface. It will bond better to clean paint than dirty.

The life of your wax is also dependent on what you wash the car with. Harsher detergents or drive through touchless can remove it.

I am trying out Eagle One Nano spray wax and I love it so far. It beads water like crazy and it's been on for a month and through about three rain storms. For 8$ I had to try it.
