The 'Preferred Forum' CAI?

Well, maybe not but add another one to the list of "Z28" CAI users. It wasn't cheap and real world HP gains may be forever debated but the sound and look is worth the $, IMO. I take back everything I ever said about CAI's!

And I'm certain the other ones are fine products too, I just liked the look of the GM version.

I have a K&N and I immediately noticed a deeper sound during acceleration and I really feel more power for sure. I think it's a great investment along with a new exhaust system. I haven't seen any other intakes on camaros but I'm sure the factory z28 one works really well.

there is a reason that the race teams use the CAI brand intake instead of the stock Z/28 one..

No doubt. About the only racing I do is home from the grocery store before my beer gets warm. Seems to suffice for that purpose.

Have a K&N as well and agree ... love the deeper sound and noticed an improvement in response/performance.

The K&N does look more MAF friendly. The Z28 is about at 1:00 O' clock and I'm pretty sure the wires hit on the under hood roof. Probably no big but I might have located that and even the PCV input a little differently. Prolly some trick 90's that work on a real Z.

The Z/28 intake has ZERO clearance issues. Fits perfectly.

+1 for CAI, Inc's intake. I had 0 fit issues and love improved growl and throttle response. Plus the window adds a touch of class!

I love my CAI intake. The only thing I wish it had were thumb screw heads on the captured fasteners instead of allen (hex) heads.
