. Like I said you can make your own tool very easy. Also that riv nut is steel so do not try using that tool on a aluminum riv nut. If you want to use your own hardware let us know and its $20 less cost. its in the drop down menu

I've actually already installed the nutserts and wickerbill. I'm wanting to see what it looks like with the stainless hardware

Here is a look at the SS hardware that you can get on line for $50 for seven screws and washers. They are at Ring brothers

Looking around on the NRG website, their hardware comes in all different colors. These titanium ones look pretty good..

I think I drilled 2 of my holes slightly to large. The rivet lip catches but it spins inside even inside(doesn't catch when I try to squeeze the rivnut with my homemade tool). How can I fix this or is it to late.

I would try to get some epoxy in there to fill the gap or pin the riv-nut.

I tried epoxy and it just wouldn't grip it good enough.

I couldn't take it anymore. I ordered my wickerbill last night, along with the NRG black hardware and a 35/64 drill bit. Should be here this week sometime, just in time for my car to sit for 5 or 6 months over the winter...

You did say in the video that you started with a 1/8" drill bit, but you never said the size you used for the actual hole. I bought a 35/64 like they say to use with the GM hardware. Just wondering if the NRG uses the same size. Do you recall what the size was? |
