Opinion on fluids please

Hey guys, i have a 2014 1le and looking to change all my fluids to better suit me. I am going to track (road course)the car mostly and drive it on a sunday here and there. Any advice from the pros would be great! If i remember correctly i think the owners manual say for track day use 5w50? what should i use and what make?

Thanks again guy!

You'll get a wide variety of opinions, but I think you should use all factory fluids. I know quite a few GM engineers. Many of them race their own personal cars on their own dime. They all use Mobil 1 based on the test data they are privy to.

I am so glad you asked. Castrol SRF is the gold standard with a wet boil higher than many quality fluid dry boil.

AMSOIL Severe Gear 75w-90 for the rear and Signature Series ATF for the transmission. They work great.

+1. Royal Purple breaks down pretty fast; I'd not recommend it. You can also stick with the OEM fluid, but I think Amsoil diff/tranny fluids are better.

Going to agree on the Amsoil recommendations for trans and rear end. Have those in mine and nothing but great response and usage. No issues at all, even run their brake fluid and have yet to have any fade or boiling issues. I do run the 75w-140 in the rear end though and it's a little thick when cold, but seems to be very smooth once up to temp.

I run,
Mobil 1 either 0/40 or 5/30 but am contemplating something else for next season
Redline MTL in the trans
Redline 75/90 in the rear
ATE for brakes
