I guess most people in 2015 have lost their sense of humor and get their feelings hurt everytime someone posts something. If anyone for any moment believes not cleaning your car equates to the same as being a dead beat dad in the literal sense or any sense for that matter, then wow. Its called a JOKE people! You know, the thing called humor. Dont understand why people are so sensitive theses days.

My car has a layer of dust on it right now. I washed it last week and the day after we had a cold snap with winds and I had drops of SAP stuck to the windshield. I have a family to take a care of. A sick wife, an 8 year old child. If I want to roll it Mad Max (dirty) style, then I will.

I've known guys who go out and spend 60k on a brand new truck, and do nothing but change fluids and filters in it for 10 years and hundreds of thousands of miles. Never once washing it. Then they buy a new one, and do the same thing with it. lol.

Yep me too. I used to be really anal about it being clean but after 6 years I drive it whether it's clean or dirty.

Whats up with people bitching about black cars? I detail mine once every other 2 weeks and drive it 4 out of 7 days and it stays clean... I just use a quick 2 minute california duster to get the dust of and its looking perfect. I keep it garaged so that helps, having a black car outdoors with a car cover sucks...

My car sits for close to a month. The color of my car is yellow, but when i see it, its black. The first thing i normally do when i get home is wash it, because i know its filthy. If i were there everyday, i'd clean it probably twice a week because i would have the opportunity to do so.

How a person decides to take care of his or her car, is their business. I'm not, nor was i ever judging anyone based on the appearance of their vehicle. Like i said, I was joking. But, yet people still get butt hurt.

I'm with you, OP. I have a buddy that got a new car a year ago, supposedly loves it, yet has only washed it twice. It's gross. Don't get me started on the inside of it... ew. I'll add that of those two times it had been washed, one was by me. He was staying at my house for a few days, I woke up early to wash my car and just couldn't stand seeing his car so gross. So I washed it too.

The main reason I didn't get a black, or dark colored car, was because of how often you have to stay on top of it to keep it clean. White is surprisingly simple. Water and swirl marks don't show up unless you're up on it and even road grime isn't horribly noticeable. I wash it every few weeks, depending on how bad it is. It's about time to polish and wax though.

Truth be told, I'm more concerned about how my wheels look haha. Can't stand brake dust.
