There isn't a core charge. I got my AC Delco for about $125.... Amazon is great for car parts. New radiator hoses, $4.99 for one and $11.99 for the other. Serpentine Belt $16....

I've bought a lot of parts for my truck on there. Having it shipped to your house is nice but I never bought anything that would usually have a core charge associated with it...good to know...thanks

Take the battery down to your local chain autoparts store and they should check it for free. Atleast then you know if it's the battery or not.

I had a simular problem, turned out to be the Starter.It seems that when the Starter warmed up it drew excessive current. When it does that, let it sit for a couple of hours, then try to start ur car, if it starts right up, it might be the Starter.
