it flows more air than it expects at a given throttle blade angle. you dont have to tune it but you might as well since you need to adjust one table (an engine diag table, not an airflow or fueling table) you might as well adjust them all.

These cars are Drive by Wire.

The computer needs to Know the Throttle Body Max Effective Area of the Throttle body installed so it can Properly control the Blade Angle.

A 90mm is 5636 mm2, the 102mm is 7147 mm2 that is a big difference in Air flow vs Blade Angle

The computer continually Monitors Airflow VS Manifold Pressure VS RPM VS Throttle blade angle.

If anything is out of range it goes in to Protection mode better known as Reduced Power Mode.

I don't see any way to run a 102 without a custom tune.

JRE offers Custom Remote tuning Via SCT Tuner so you can tune in your Driveway.

How much is the BBK 102mm TB? Which is better, a NW or BBK?
