To make a long story not as long, I'd called on a Thursday and was told it was available, so I drove 50 miles to get there. When I arrived the dealer apologized and said that he didn't know that they'd taken the deposit the night before. Three days later their customer service dept. did a standard follow-up call to survey my experience with their dealership. When I told her everything, she sent a report to the sales manager. A day later he called me and said he was going to cancel the other guy's sale. I can't see them playing a game like that and making me drive 50 miles (each way, twice) when I was willing to buy it the first time, and waiting four days to contact me back, knowing that I was shopping around other lots with Black Friday sales.
