If and when the need ever arises to shut them up for good and make them feel bad about their cars, I'll just get the Fabberge twin turbo kit. Until then, I'll just enjoy my powerful, high tech, state of the art V6 with DI, VVT, 4v per cylinder while getting up to 32.5 mpg on the highway and up to 20+ mpg in the city.

Anyway, I think some of these V8 1LE owners should be thinking about how they measure up to the new 6th gen SS instead of how much "better" they are over us V6er's. The regular, bone stock, run of the mill, 6th gen SS out performs their special 1LE's in all aspects. Imagine what the 6th gen 1LE is going to do.

So, instead of thinking about how they can make us feel bad about our purchases with these cleverly disguised posts like the OP started, they should be thinking about how the 6th gen is going to make them feel bad about their cars. And with some reports coming out of the 6th gen SS dipping down into the 11's bone stock, the 6th gen is going to make them feel really bad about their cars.
i'm assuming "complex" refers to my post. Please read my post again, I said exactly the opposite of making someone feel bad. If you can't read however, a v6 vs v8 conversation is the least of your worries. As far as the 6th gen, that's a totally different conversation. I don't care about 6th, 7th or 8th gen. Love my car, that's why i own it.

Paul.. So another question about mods. I know if I ever wanted to trade or sell the camaro in the future that most dealers or buyers want to have a stock car. Will I lose money by adding my own mods?

I had a big ole V8 prior to this car and I hated it every time I had to fill it up at the pump. And, before you reply back about how good the LS3 is on fuel, it still ain't as good as the V6 and I'm not that interested in being a second faster in the 1/4 mile. However, it's going to be real fun watching the few cocky 5th gen LS3 owners we have on here get all butt hurt when the "regular" run of the mill 6th gen SS mops the floor with them. Suddenly, their precious LS3's are not that "special" anymore. Poor guys....

I didn't become a member with only a few posts under my belt to start making thinly disguised posts asking about how ashamed I should be owning a V6 like the OP. The V6er's know this was just another fake thread to get the V6 versus V8 conflict going again and the V8 owners as usual fell for it hook, line, and sinker.

Okay I may have made a thread you don't like but at least I'm not sitting there building conspiracy theories of online debating battles. Yes I created an account just to start another debate that I didn't even know was common or so great that someone needs to fake a question.

And if I did. You're talking about other people but you seem to be a main contributor. Guess I was wrong about not too much ignorance so far on this site

Because usually we get labeled for being truthful by the mods when it comes to these threads even though we didn't start the thread we just commented.
The reality is, the being ashamed part might not be day to day but could happen when you begin to realize the age and market target for v6 owners and ask yourself if you like pink also?,or the usual comments of "Looks nice is it a v8?, OH?!" or "Start it up, I said Start it"!!, and you say "I did"!
That's reality and dose happen everywhere, everyday, car shows, to the casual comment in the mall parking lot, so if you are ok with that, then your answer to your post is No do not be ashamed, otherwise it should be a yes and you can trade up.
For the record the 323 v6 bragging doesn't carry much weight when you compare what other v6s are in the range and can smoke it. My benz for one would not lose to a ls

Like I'm certain most others are saying, if you like your car, if it has some sentimental attachment for you, if you enjoy driving around in it, you shouldn't be ashamed of anything you're driving. If, on the other hand, what you're really asking is should you get a V8? That, my friend, is a question only you can answer.

I've been asked many times since I've owned my car. Especially when I first bought it. I also get "let's hear it " alot.

You have some stinky bait, but I'm bored so I'll bite.

LS3s will always be special as they only used them in select vehicles. Also the engine swap of choice for damn near everything. You can bet Chevy will be selling LS3 crate engines for years to come.

The 3.6 isn't and never will be special. You are like a peasant that rejoices when the king is finally dethroned, then the new king comes in and you are still the same peasant. Pointless really because mod for mod you will never see an LS3 in your mirrors.

So laugh all you want, while the new 4 cylinders ponycars are gonna be mopping the floor with you.

Search his posts. 75% of them are associated with V6 justification and how ALL V8 owners are snobbish pricks. Enjoy your ride OP! You bought a Camaro. That is all that matters!

Won't happen. That IS an impressive time but anyone who thinks it was easy as buying a car and running 11s is the one that will be disappointed.

I am realistic.
The car just hit the streets, so yes there will be faster passes in the future. Take a look a the stock LS3 fast list on this forum. The run with the lowest post number was NineBall at 13.070. Average the first 10 times (sorted by post number) and you get 12.916. Average the entire list of 31 and your get 12.942. Yet, all you hear is that a manual 5th Gen is a 12.9 second car EASY. Fact is a pass quicker than 13.390 will get you on the list.

I fully expect the 6th Gen SS/A8 will follow the same pattern. There will be some hero runs, but on average you will see around 12.2xx to 12.3xx (which is quite a bit faster than 12.9xx). Given the fastest 5th Gen SS/M6 is 12.588 (0.354 faster than the average of the FASTEST 31 times), we could definitely see a 11.9x bone-stock pass in a 6th Gen SS/A8 in a year or so.

The only thing left is really a matchup on the road course. Time will tell on that one.
