Rick seemed to have good luck with his stock SS rear, lasted for over 300 nitrous passes with hard launches and many more NA passes. Pro Stock John also raced for 3 years on his stock SS rear diff and axles before braking the spiders. Plus it's about $50 cheaper than the 1LE axles and hubs of going with new parts.
So quick question, have you tried your sliding your axles in those hubs you got?
I tried to test fit and my axles don't seem to go in the hubs all the way.
The guy I bought the driveshaft from had like you have.
So was curious if you had any fitment issues? Pictured is all that the axle will go in the hub. It seems to not want to slide on the second set of splines on the axle.
Any help would be appreciated.

It's hard to say without seeing it in person but it might just need to be pulled through with the axle nut. Since those are used axles they might just have some rust or a little dent in the spline that won't let it slide in easy all the way. I didn't run the part number on that axle but if it's a non 1LE axle and a non 1LE hub then it should go together.

I really like all the red BMR parts. Look nice and sturdy too, I shouldn't have to worry much about wheel hop.

The aluminum bushings came in from Pegasus. They look really nice and well machined. This is probably the coolest packaging I've seen as far as car parts go.

Really enjoying watching your build so thanks for the time to respond.
After the pictures I did use cleaner, rags, and even the brushes I'm to lazy for to clean all splines. It seems both axles fit on the hubs the same way not wanting to slide over the second set of axle splines even with a little grease. None of the splines seem worn where they would cause an issue. So guess I'm just confused with what works and once again so is the parts department.
I don't have a problem getting new axles but thought what I had out of a '11 SS should work. So I'm a little nervous about getting more parts that don't fit together. GMPARTSNOW gets a 35% restocking fee plus shipping and 30 days to return.
Just curious if yours fit together without issue.
Looks like your getting closer to that step and I'll see how it goes for you.

Hmm. Idk, I haven't got my axles yet so when I do I'll try to slide them together and see. I guess it's possible these are the wrong bearings but I had the dealer look them up by the vin of an SS. Then I crossed that gm part number over to acdelco and this is the newest part number it came up with. We shall see.

I went ahead and got the rain tray for the hood vent. I won't run it all the time but I'll make it removeable so I'll have the option.

I love these keychains. Couldn't decide what color I wanted so I got a pack of five. $15 shipped from Amazon.

My two extra rear wheels came in the other day too.

18x9.5 TSW Nurburgrings. I'll be buying two 305/45/18 NT05r's for them but haven't ordered them yet. Our tire distributor said they could order two direct from nitto for me so they would be as new and fresh as possible, but will take a couole weeks. That's nice because I don't want some that have been sitting for two years. I want them soft!

Delrin upper control arm bushings, these things have ZERO give to them. I'm taking so much slop out of the rear of this car.. I can't wait to feel it.

The subframe bushings do NOT come out without a fight! I think it would be easier with the socket, jack, and heat method but In have everything apart so I'm just doing it on the ground.

I have a feeling your going to end up getting that 60' time down below even what you where hoping for. When you get this all back together its going to be a beast of six cylinders.

Man I hope so. Btw I got the axles in and they don't slide all the way either, about the same as yours. I feel like if I put socket and ratchet on it it would pull through but I'm not trying that until I put things back together. I'll try to double check the part numbers tomorrow.
