I never said I did 148 from a dig. I already paid my entrance fee for race wars. Im hoping they are better prepared this year. From what I read it seemed that they under estimated how many people would show up and over estimated how many they could handle. This year they are limiting the amount of participants and spectators. So I figured Id give it a shot.

He lasted that long because moderators can't read every single thread on the site & it wasn't reported for several days. Plus, like everyone else our schedules tend to get a bit screwed up around the holidays, which throws things off even more. The end result of all that is that 100 posts had to get deleted from this thread to try and clean it up.

Even so, the people running it are flaming dicks and I wouldn't go even if they PAID me to race. It would be better for everyone if they just went away.

I have to agree with rontammy, this Hemi guy was only talking trash just like guys we've all met at a car show. He was good at making ads for the hellcat and pulling stuff off the internet which was funny. Hell he said something about my butt hurting from bench racing but I didn't get my panties in wad because of it, I just laughed it off. Since trolling is a violation of the rules would engaging and enticing be as bad as the troll himself. If so then Hemi guy wasn't the only the only violator in this thread to include myself.

Here's the thing: it is not considered appropriate to interrupt a decent discussion topic just to bust on each other like a bunch of guys just hanging out at a car show or track. Do that with your buddys in the casual sections of the site if you want. We have tens of thousands of completely worthless back and forth blathering in some of the 'back rooms' of the site. But we try to keep worth while discussions clean, as best we can manage. Having fun is fine, just keep in mind that this website exists for reasons beyond being your own personal funhouse. As mature, reasonable adults I'm sure that you understand that ... you probably just never thought of it that way.

In the months and years to come, when this topic is no longer active but someone manages to find this topic when they have a similar question as the OP we (the site staff) want them to actually find what they're looking for, not 200 useless posts involving trolls. That is why this website exists in the first place, to archive useful Camaro information/discussion. Having fun, hanging out, making friends ... all that stuff is encouraged too. But that kind of thing takes a back seat to our main goal (being a repository of Camaro knowledge). You don't need to agree with that logic yourself, just accept that its how the Camaro5 staff frame this kind of thing.

We tend not to issue infractions for people engaging trolls, largely because most only do it accidentally. Hence, my explanation of what trolling is & why we don't want to encourage it. For various reasons, I don't want to infract any of you guys. However that does not mean I won't if I have to, but is picking on a troll really worth risking an infraction?

Lastly, since replying to you about replying to trolls has itself derailed this thread ... all subsequent off-topic posts will get deleted (including replies to this post). Send me a PM if you want me to elaborate on anything I've said in this post or the other one, I might even expand upon this post if its something important that I may have ignored.
