That's funny you ask that... 900 mile drive and we stopped 3 times (2 fuel and 1 wife pit stop ) and all 3 times people asked about it. Twice if I'd sell it... It and the ZL1 will be my sons one day.

No she's clean, the engine compartment needs restoration though, it's aged. Dad was very particular about it, 85k original miles, cars 100% original and he even kept the windownsticker.

make sure you pass it on when you are not capable of using it. It needs to be driven and enjoyed

Sorry to hear about your father. It is so cool that you have his car. My father passed away 15 yrs ago today and left me his 57 Chevy that he bought new. It has 68,000 mi and is all original except a new top and painted once. ( there is a pic in the View My Garage ). When ever you miss your father you can look at the car and have so many great memories. Hopefully you never have to sell it.

Sorry for your loss. Lost mine in 2013.
If you haven't heard it listen to Black Stone Cherry "Things My Father Said"

Has a line that says:
"I hope you always know the car that we built will always roll"

Gets me every time.

My condolences on the loss of your father. I lost my father this month and he helped me purchase my first car, a 1970 Boss 429 Mustang. Of course, I modified it. Those were the days. Enjoy that GS.

Thank you nvydvr. The 71 was my 16th birthday present. My parents bought it for me when it was new. I drove it for 11 summers and put it on stands. Each fall I get it out, change the fluids, run some new gas through it, detail it and put it back on stands. I do the same thing with the 57. I keep telling my self that next year I will use them but never seem to have the time. I have only been able to put 2080 mi on the ZL1 since I got it new in June of 2012.
