Wife wants one.....
.....and I do too. I've been buying new Chevys for 30+ years. For the last 10+ years, I've been paying right around invoice. Usually pay cash. I'm ready to buy, but I don't HAVE to. No way am I going to pay these type of prices. The salesman that I've been doing business with for years had his large dealship shut down recently. He's with another smaller/much stronger dealership. He thinks things will be a little less nuts after Christmas. Are there any signs of things getting back to more of a normal market? I'd love to surprise my bride of 25+ years with a new red SS for Christmas......but I can wait and so can she.
Please, I know this has been discussed, but I also know this is a dynamic market and things change on a daily basis. If all you have to add is "use the search button", please find another thread on which to weigh in. To any dealer types: Have cash, will travel for a good deal. |

The dealer I am working with told me that prices will be lower come Nov/Dec/Jan
I am planning on ordering mine for Christmas or New Years. And picking her up for my birthday. Not driving her til spring either way. Not around here in the snow etc. Nope. |

Invoice Pricing on a Camaro is about 1500 less than sticker. Not a huge difference. I have some allocations coming up if intersting on placing order. We have sold around 30 of them an every one has been at sticker price. 10 of them have been my customers. Sold a couple forum members here to.

Well, the prices WERE expected to go down, but since the SS production is early cut in HALF, I doubt it. You can also wait - but I'd also be willing to bet a $800 - $1500 price INCREASE will be coming the 1st of the year. Happened on Malibu, and Traverse. Just seems to be the trend. GOOD NEWS is, you order BEFORE the price increase, you are price protected.

The pool of folks willing to overpay is bound to dry up soon. If the Detroit boys continue to ask for more money, I'll continue to hold on to mine....I bought a new Z28 in 1977. That's the last new Camaro that I've paid for. Guess I can wait a while longer.

I bought , because the wife wanted one and gave her the push more like "ok" that she was looking for to buy. I ordered at MSRP and looks like with price increases and such got a good deal at MSRP. I don't seen the market cooling until late next year on this car still to new and to few, but the supply is closing on the demand.
