Tune
Who offers the best tune for the Z/28? I have the Diablo Intune and its ok. The problem I am having is when I shift hard and fast the torque management kicks on and kills power. Basically every time I shift hard from 1st to 2nd and to 3rd the car dies down and then wakes back up.

I've always found the best tune is done on a dyno and someone with a laptop who knows how to tune these cars. Handhelds definitely serve a purpose, but you can't beat a real dyno tune for max gains.
On a side note - I thought the Diablo would disable torque management...guess not.

You'd need a custom tune using HP Tuners or EFI Live software, preferably done on a dyno by a professional tuner. You could also buy either of those software packages and effectively turn off the TM yourself, but the cost wouldn't be worth it unless you would be doing other mods. Keep in mind that unlike the Diablo, which from everything I've read, will NOT reveal that you've messed with the factory tune (upon going back to stock), HPT and EFI will, so you will effectively void your powertrain warranty once you alter the factory tune.

They all are detectable and void the factory warranty. Believe what you want, but will be a $76,000 car with a questionable valvetrain without a warranty.

Here we go with the warranty lawyers again. Please give it a rest.

You have a high caliber car and you are using a hand held box tune. Ehhhhh. Find yourself a top notch tuner like stated above and get a dyno tune.

...and this has to do with the OP's question in what way? Did he ask about warranty?

Yup your right. He didn't ask about a warranty. With that being said I would get a professional tuner and a dyno to give my car the best safest tune. Not a one size fits all.

Not questionable valvetrain at all. New guides on this LS7 in the Z/28. GM fixed the valvtrain issues.. Your knowledge and advice is questionable Mr Subaru. I have big motor work and tune.3K miles at 90% redline. No problems.

Mr. Subaru? My advice is questionable? I told him to get a competent tuner with a dyno if that's the route he wanted to take. I was also compelled to advise him that GM is a pain in the butt about tuned cars and they can detect it if there is catastrophic engine failure. Yes my everyday car is a Subaru Forester turbo, living in the northeast with the winters we have its a good roomy car with all wheel drive and some pep. My toy car is a 2015 ZL1. Can't use that here this time of year, hence the need for the Subaru. Are we all clear now Mr. 68 post ***hole?

have you pulled your fuse for the exhaust flaps? If not, pull that fuse and then retest the car. It may be in my head but i feel like there is a noticeable difference in the car with the fuse pulled. may be the extra noise that i love so dear or it may in fact be a little boost in performance by having the flaps always open. i drove around for a while trying to get my car to be emissions inspection ready. during this time in went from having the fuse pulled to having the fuse put back in and i swear i felt a difference. In addition to this, have you tried it with PTM in 4 or higher?
