Back in October I went in for a problem with a fast leak from my right rear 21” tire. Suburban Chevrolet found a screw in it. They were able to find 2 tires here in the cities and had one delivered quickly. I was worried about possible damage occurring to the red paint line around my rim during the removal etc. of the tire. With their Hunter Revolution Tire Changer everything went great! As I have a performance tire I wanted it replaced as I didn't think there would be much rubber left inside the tire at the patch after work was completed.

Plug it, if it's a daily driver. I've had it happen twice on two different cars. I plugged it each time and never had a problem. First time, I picked up what looked like an oil pan drain plug, no kidding! I have no idea how it punctured the tire as the "business end" of it was a full 3/8" across but puncture it it did. The second one was a deck screw, about 3" long. Picked it up about 6 months after I bought my 2SS. Pulled the screw, plugged the hole, haven't had a problem since. Then again, I don't take my car to the track.

My DIC seems to be pretty good about updating the tire pressure in real-time, and it always seems pretty close to the tire pressure gauge I trust. I always inflate cold tires first thing in the morning, so not sure if that makes a difference?

If you put on Weld wheels, the stock TP sensors won't fit so my tire shop got a kit. It's like a big hose clamp around the center of the wheel. Didn't work out. Seems if you exceed 150 MPH centrifugal force throws them off. lol

After a few days not driven ( cold temps ) I got in for a saturday morning drive and see a 27 right front and three 31's. Anything under 28 for me is alarm time-
I put air in and see a nail. F**K F**K F**K

Off to the big red store chain where I have been a customer with four cars over ten years but never this car.

Those folks had it patched, mounted and balanced in less than 45 minutes. No scratched rim. No out of balance vibration. Searching for a complaint some minor dirty fingerprints and they pumped them up to 35 square which is odd.

The best part? They did NOT charge me. I had no warranty. I was stunned. They said that's how we treat our customers.

Unbelievable. Free. Wow. I completely forgot about the shi**y start to my weekend.

I was making a trip across the country (not in the Camaro) I had been noticing that one of my tires had a semi fast leak. When I stopped in a little town in the middle of Georgia for the night I found a local tire shop and asked if they would check it out. 10 mins later guy come back and said they couldn't find anything wrong with the tire but the put some kind of sealer on the bead and said that should help. He refused any kind of payment. I didn't have another problem with that tire.

Got out of the car, confirmed the malfunction, and had the offending bulb removed in about a minute. Went inside the store, purchased the replacement, and had it installed in another minute.

No more than five minutes passed from the time I was informed of a malfunction, and the time that I was rolling again, repaired and ready to not get pulled over.
I thought this was the case with bulbs going out, but your post was the first time I seen someone post about it. This could end up saving thousands of dollars and headaches with the law.

Yeah, i too got one the other day and the car told me i have a flat, and this was 20 miles after putting new tires on. I hadn't driven her in a week and got in to go somewhere. Now this is the 5th nail/screw since i have had my car, and i have had 3 broken windshields....i mean WTF!!!!! simply cant believe it. On a lighter note since my tires were shot and time to replace i did my part so there was less to recycle :-))

the plug and patch are one^ ,with sport tires the rubber plugs often pop out because rubber plug is softer and only small piece is left after the plug is trimmed off flat to the tread. also you should always use a plug when patching because very small rocks will enter the hole in the tire and press/wear a hole in the thin patch.. always plug

this tip is common sense but thought i'd share it anyways , when using a do it yourself string rubber coated string plug leave 1/2 inch of the string plug out side of the tire [do not cut it flat] just driving will flatten it out and leave you with a much better seal than trimming it off
