when i had my trans am i never had the front plate on and the only place i got pulled over was in cleveland and it was for no front plate and no seatbelt (becasue i couldnt put my 4 point harness on quick enough). i will not and still do not put front plates on my cars. i actually had to go to the court to pay my ticket for the front plate and the judge asked me if i were going to put the front plate on now and i said "nope, im trying to sell the car and im not putting a plate on ." they said ok just stay out of here then.

You know what's funny, my Malibu got hit by a limo in December '05 that basically took off most of it's front end along with the plate and I never replaced it and never thought of it until recently. Now I've been pulled over a bare minimum of 10 times since then and not one cop has ever mentioned the missing plate! I probably won't get the same luck in the Camaro because it'll draw more attention, but I'm definitely going to cross my fingers!

Oh yea Scott, while I'm on the subject of daydreaming... what are the widths of the front and rear tires on the concept?
Glad you're at ease! Just remember to tell the dealer NOT to install the bracket when the car arrives.

Off the top of my head, I can't remember the widths -- I'm at home and that info.is in my office.......

They're probably too busy worrying about whatever it is you're doing to get pulled over so much. How do you afford insurance after all that? Whatever you're doing, plan on getting pulled over 10 times per month in the Camaro...

You have to get the car inspected when you purchase it new?

In NJ you don't get a new car inspected until after you've had it 4 years. Then it's every 2 years.

In BOTH cases, the bracket is in the trunk. The Camaro will NOT have holes in the front fascia for the bracket --

There are those that don't like the bracket....

Neither do we.

............think about it -- does anyone REALLY believe that Tom Peters and SangYup Lee -- (designers) WANT something like that bracket on a beautiful car? We cannot force states to drop their front license requirement. (may I suggest that if you are in a state that DOES require it -- that you start a grass-roots effort to have the law repealed???)

The bottom line is that we MUST, by law, provide for a robust system to affix a front license plate onto a vehicle by select states.

Sorry -- that's the way it is.

Once again -- we hate the brackets, too!

If only SHUNT was around, he could tell us about the bracket, since there in the trunk!!!!

We all know SHUNT has first hand Knowledge of the trunk......

OH NO!!!!!...GOT TO GO.

Nope... I've been told several times I look like the rapper Ice Cube, I guess you can say l look like public enemy #1 but that's a whooooole other conversation . Let's just say the wealthy suburbanites and LAPD where I live haven't exactly warm up to me yet.

Also Scott, I saw the pic of the 12 Disciples of which there are 15 posted on 5thgen.org I believe, and I;ve got to tell you guys you need some more color next time! Feel free to invite me to the proving grounds whenever you want, I'd be happy to give you the black perspective on our new beast!

If Massachusetts is similar to New York, you've got to get the car inspected whenever you purchase it (or change the title ownership), and after that it's a yearly required inspection.
