I thought it was a great article as well. There are things to like and dislike about each of the cars. Can't go having a fit every time a reviewer doesn't blindly like every single thing about a particular vehicle.

It didn't come as a surprise to me that of the 3 editors involved in the comparison, the youngest one favored the Camaro, by a lot, saying "The Camaro SS is easily my pick...," while the older editors didn't love the futuristic Transformer look. It's a generational thing.

For me, I like the Dodge the least overall if I had to pick one of these cars. But there is a black SRT 6-speed in the parking lot where I work, and I just gawk at the car every day when I walk by it thinking it's a huge car, but a really good looking huge car.

The concluding paragraphs in the comparison revealed how close the competition was, and how hard it was to pick a winner, where some guy at a gas station asked the R&T editors which one he should buy. The answer was "Just pick the one you like to look at, and after that, you can't go wrong." Truer words were never spoken.

Call me uncultured or whatever but I just don't get it....

Indeed. Maybe I'm just the rarest of creatures - an easy-to-please female - but I'm thinking...is there a speedometer? Fuel gauge? The seats don't hurt my back and there's a cd player...so as far as the interior goes - it's good in my book. I wanted leather, and having a battery volt gauge is great, but that was about it. Why expect a luxury-car interior from a pony car? The extra cost wouldn't be worth it IMO. I've never sat in a car and thought, "Wow, what a nice interior!" - not even in my parent's Cadillac. I'm concerned with performance, exterior looks, sound and the intangible "feel" of the car. But I'm watching the road or admiring it from the outside, not looking around the interior. Oh, and at 5'4", having to slouch to avoid scraping my head has never been a problem.

Whenever i read that someone thinks the Challenger is the best looking of the three, i know they've got a screw loose. The 1970 model looked like a generic version of a Camaro, to begin with. It's almost maddening when you see writers take shots at the Camaro's looks, and yet the general public loves it. Talk about detatched from reality. But then these are the guys that routinely insult the readers. "if you drive this car you have a mullet, you're a hick, and you're iliterate."
And yeah, Peter Egan of Road and Track wrote a piece a few months ago about how he bought a 2008 Bullitt, and how much he wanted it, dreamed of it, etc.

Recently C&D did a test with top-end convertibles and had new machines from everyone except chevrolet(Vette). They actually used a rental with over 15k miles on it and, as expected, complained about it. Don't think a Vette rental has been rode hard and put up wet I have some swamp land to sale you.LOL

Yeah and they bashed the auto transmission in the Corvette for not shifting fast....and the numbers were right there with a manual.

OK, I'm off my soap box.

Having an extensive art background I can say without doubt the 6 series BMW is a confused take on design. It simply does not flow, the 3 series is a much more eloquent & fluid design, and so is the Camaro.

Your background in art has nothing to do with anything. Seriously, nothing at all. It can only bias your opinion. People like what they like. Period. There is no rule that people will follow, we simply like whatever we like.

Saying it does not flow is purely YOUR opinion. There is no concrete rule saying the design of the car should make it flow a certain way. That is all up to the designer. I'm just saying be happy that you like your Camaro cuz in the end that's all that matters.

You can't please everyone so to each his own.

No...seriously the 6 series doesnt flow. Not to mention I wouldnt even know one if I was staring at it because BMW is to lazy to name their cars. Any company that only numbers cars is a company I want nothing to do with.

Hey guys this is my 457 B 198 Y 37 Series.

"Oh, I thought you had the g456 198 y 36 Series?"

No thats so last months model.

The fact that it doesn't flow is your opinion. There are styles and categories to art but no rules. You guys just get so sensitive if ANY one says ANY thing negative about the new Camaro. It won in most the performance tests and all you can focus on is the fact he didn't like the looks as much as the Mustang.

News Flash......Everyone doesn't like it as much as you.

If you don't even know what it looks like how do you know it doesn't flow

You just like to argue that's it.

People have different opinions. Someone may actually think the writer of your post has a screw loose. Doesn't mean you do, nor does it mean the writer of that Road and Track article does either.

Definitions of flow:

move or progress freely as if in a stream; "The crowd flowed out of the stadium"
the motion characteristic of fluids (liquids or gases)
the amount of fluid that flows in a given time
cause to flow; "The artist flowed the washes on the paper"
the act of flowing or streaming; continuous progression

It is not an opinion, it is a visible and tangible part of design.
And, yes many things please me while many others don't. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but that does not make something actually beautiful.
The lack of symmetry causes the 6 to be at war with itself design wise.
Your infatuation with it's design is your right, enjoy.

LMAO....you obviously need to go back to art school. Your explanation made no sense.

I'm not infatuated with the 6. I liked it so I bought it.

Anyways who cares if you don't like it. Not me. Argue by yourself about it cuz now it's silly. Enjoy your car and I'll enjoy mine. I won't be responding to this stupid arguement anymore.

LOL how could you say the 6 series flows. The front of it looks like it has down syndrom. It flows if you like cars that dont flow and look like they have a slight retardation to them. The interior doesnt even flow.

Im just kidding btw. I still dont know what a 6 series looks like. Ive probably seen them dozens of times, but since it doesnt have a name I will never remember it.
