I used the factory tb bolts as I felt better about the thread contact with the spacer overkill provides. That's just me. The factory bolts stuck out of the spacer about 1/4" or so but the supplied bolts left about that much of thread contact that was unused inside spacer. I trimmed about 1/2" off the tb of the intake tube( the width of the spacer) but this setup fits nicely and after test driving it around the highway for awhile today, I would suggest anyone gets it that is holding back. This lfx has more in it than I expected. I expect the e85 and supercharged/turbo will just enhance this set up.

As far as the ocd, I'm right there with you. The webbed intake is more bothersome for me than the rotated tb. Maybe they compliment each other to make it tolerable. |

I felt a little MORE on the bottom with my HFC's...but at the same time smoother.

You won't lose any low end torque from this throttle body, on the contrary. Throttle tip in will be better since the same movement on this 80mm blade moves so much more air than the stock 72mm for the same rotation. The caveat is that the LFX uses a torque based throttle control system at part throttle. Basically so much pedal input at suchnsuch an engine rpm the computer is aiming for a specific engine torque output, and will use multiple items including the throttle body opening to achieve this. Remapping this makes a big difference with the 80mm throttle body, I have specific maps for both the stock TB and 80mm TB. Otherwise, the computer will simply slow the opening rate of the larger throttle body so it achieves the same torque per pedal/rpm as before. |

Will I'm curious. Do the cts's still need the e85 kit. I read your can just put e85 in the tank and be fine. Apparently a different setup than the camaro?

I would check your owners manual to be sure. As long as it has a flex fuel sensor it would be fine.

I checked but you know how "specific" the owners manual can be lol.... I was only asking since he has done tuning and work on both the ats and cts lfx
