Saw my first Camaro in real life today, on the road. Damn, the pictures of it don't do it justice.

CGM SS/RS

I'm not sure if it was a 1SS or 2SS... any visible difference? (it had the RS package)

It looks so compact and well put together in real life.

Now I really want one...

If everyone here donates $3 (there's 14k members), I can buy one!

They are hot,even though we live in sparsely populated Wyoming I've seen a Red,and a Silver one here,also a Black w/orange stripes in Billings MT yesterday.On a Road Trip to NY in July we saw a RJT/gray Stripes,Victory Red,Yellow and Silver.On a trip to Boise last month we saw a BLk,Red and a Yellow one all around Idaho Falls

I saw my first one last week -- a yellow bumblebee Camaro. I was so fixed on the car I didn't even think to look up and see who was driving it.

the first time i actually got to sit in one and play around with it was AMAZING!
i spent the entire day at the dealership. i cant wait to be able to drive one.
i just might have an overexcitement attack.

Wow, it's hard to imagine people haven't seen them yet! I work at a chevy dealership and my dad owns a chevy dealership, so I've been seeing them since the first ones were being delivered, and my brother bought one and my dad is demoing one. I'm glad you finally got to see one! I wish I could let everyone drive one and see one, because there are people dedicated enough to go on message boards, but they haven't seen them yet!

I have been in professional racing my entire life. I have worked on cars costing hundreds of thousands of dollars. My brother and I design and build engine costing 100-200K. I have seen, sat in and driven the most expensive cars in the world. no shit.

My Camaro is the most beautiful car I have ever driven. Bar none! This thing looks like its doing 120mph sitting still and feels like your sitting in a an F22 Raptor cockpit. I smile ear to ear every time I walk outside to get in it. I am so screwed up that my wife and I just sit on the porch and look at it! NO shit, I really do.

(1) Corvettes, no way. Wouldn't have one if you gave them to me. Actually, If you did give me one I would sell it and get a Camaro. I have driven every kind of Corvette from the early 427s to the bad ass Z06s. Excellent and mean cars but I still want the Camaro.

(2) Mustang. Had one, driven many. OK for the money but the engines are shit if your going to make some serious power. The LS3/L37 Chevy series engines are more versatile and much stronger.

(3) Dodge Charger and Challenger RT or SRT8. Had one, driven many. Look pretty nice but not near as nice as these Camaro's. Hemi engine is awesome design and very versatile. The cars are heavier than Camaro and the engine power needs to be increased to make them comparable to Camaro. The Charger RT suspension is horrible. I sold the Charge RT to get this Camaro. The Challenger SRT8 is the only thing close to the Camaro in performance, looks and cool factor. The SRT8 Challenger would need 500hp to equal the weight to power ratio of the Camaro!
