Boston Acoustics stock amp location?

Hey everyone, first time Camaro owner, first post in the forums.

I LOVE MY CAMARO! I just have a quick question...

Without pulling apart my trunk, could someone tell me where the BA stock amp is located? I plan on buying the ******** 12" Stealthbox to add some bass to the system and it says I need to hook up to the battery and stock amp. I just can't seem to find the amp without removing the carpet.

Thanks for the insight!

You actually will need to remove the carpet, and rear trunk lining to access the stock amp. As stieger said, the amp is located "behind" the driver's side tail lights.

Welcome to the forums, good luck, and may the odds be ever in your favor.

I'd like to start replacing the Boston Acoustics pieces to my stereo one by one, starting with the amp. Is there a specific amp or amps which are easier to swap out with the factory BA amp? Specifically, the wiring, and the mounting of the amp in the original's location. Thanks!

There are several popular amps that fit in the stock location. it all depends on if you want a 4 channel or 5 channel amp. Then buy a fark to make the connetions easy.
