I Love this answer!!! So true. It also keeps any of my four sons from asking, "Dad, can I take out the Camaro." Of course, I have been asked to show them how to drive a stick, but man, I hate to teach them on my Camaro.

Congratulations!

How about everyone around me knows I run a gun shop, so they don't screw with me or my car

Does that spell it out for you?

Has anyone used those devices that lock the steering wheel. I forgot the name. It looks like a night stick.

The thieves that are stealing these Camaros either won't know that, won't care or both. Owning a gun or guns, working in a gun shop, being a cop, having security cameras, a manual transmission or a dog doesn't matter. If you park someplace where you car is out of sight it can get stolen and you'll never know until you come back to that empty parking spot.

Luckily for you, you probably live in an area where the car thieves don't have the sophisticated equipment to steal Camaro's like they do here.

Thank you!

It's refreshing to see someone with some intelligence.

Other than onstar, what type of anti theft device would you use?

Be careful. I made the same comment about a gun store and got flamed. By you in fact.

Onstar is useless. Doesn't stop the thieves getting in and cannot be used to track the car once they drive away.

A $1.99 switch from Radio Shack is what I use. The guys installing my tires and doing my alignment yesterday couldn't figure out how to start my car. They watched me start the car for them when they couldn't figure it out the first time then still couldn't get it started when they needed to move it onto the alignment rack.

I'm thinking of investing in a RPG launcher and a mini gun. Or maybe I should just sell the Camaro and buy a tank. But then I may need a guided missile to protect my tank. This is getting complicated.

How does that work as an antitheft device for you? Do you sleep in your car? When you drive it, do you never park it? If you do park it, is it always in sight?

Just curious.

Not that I have any issues with guns, I just don't see how it can work as an antitheft device. Especially when you may be nowhere in the vicinity of your car or whatever a thief wants to steal.
