Question?

Has anyone ever installed a c6 vette seat in a Camaro? I feel that the Vette seats are much less bulky, and could potentially give some extra headroom.

Anyone else have to sit in a less than ideal position due to headroom with a helmet?
You should come down with the upstate c5 group for opening weekend April 16-17th, you don't need a helmet and can get a feel for the track before your track days

You can go to the Genesee Valley Chapter of BMW CCA website to link to registration for their events at Watkins Glen.
There are lots of BMW CCA chapters doing events at Watkins Glen. Also Porsche Club events. You can register and attend the PCA events also. There's nothing like blowing by a Porsche on one of the straights at WGI.

He's registered with the Genesee Valley Chapter of the BMW Club and so am I. I've been doing track days with BMW Chapters for a couple of years now. BMW Club of America will let anyone join. They're not brand specific. Some chapters only allow members to register for their events and some charge extra for non-members. GVC charges an extra $100 per event for non-members. I think it's only costs me about $50 a year to join BMW CCA.

A Sparco race seat with only the base (no adjustable rails) gave me a little more headroom. You can try different positions and angles with it's mounts to see what gives you the most space.

How much is it? I could probably make one of those days. Are you allowed a passenger?

$25 per set of 3 laps, buy 2 sets at once for $50 and you get another set to use any time the rest of the season and you can have all the passengers you want

Nice! You have a link to this to register or do I just show up at a certain time with cash in my hand?

I need to get back to the Glen - it's where I was born and my stomping grounds! VINMAN is from Elmira where I grew up & went to school.

Around an inch or so... When I finally got my seat positioned right, I had some comfortable clearance. I don't have a sun roof tho.
