ethanol does increase octane but it is increased to what it says on the pump.

Gas went up around Easter week and is slowly coming back down but 93 at Sams is 2.24 and my usual local station Shell is 2.39. It had been down just under 2 dollars for premium in my area for a while before this recent gas hike.
