Finally got around to finishing the hood vent. I cut the hole months ago but never finished mounting it. Turned out pretty good. I like it better without the rain tray but it looks a lot better under the hood with it installed.

I like Magnum's setup for his transmission fluid thermostat so I'm going that route instead of just tapping into one of the lines and running in series with the factory cooler. I ordered the Improved Racing 165 degree thermostat with -6AN fittings. Also ordered stainless steel braided hose and all the -6AN hose end fittings to look good and get rid of all the factory quick connects. As huge as my tranny cooler is I should stay right around 165 degrees or just above. Definitely not cheap going this route but I think it will be worth it.

I've also been looking for some nice polished exhaust clamps to attach the polished ARK exhaust to my polished downpipes but haven't really found what I want. So decided to just polish the factory clamps. I wasn't sure how they would turn out but they look pretty good... And it was free!

409SS polishes to a low luster shine, problem is, since it's a lower grade of SS (not as much chromium in it) it will still get a light haze of surface rust pretty soon unless it's coated somehow. It won't hurt it either way, just how 409 works.

Hmm.. I didn't even think about then rusting. Well see how it goes, if they do start to rust I'll deal with it then. Can't be having any rust under the car that's for sure.

Looking real good. I wonder if the rain tray will fit with the Overkill 80mm tb?

Loving the build so far! Have you decided to water cool your turbos yet? I'm consider adding lines for mine when I get the tune work done to my setup.
