Yes, but you have to replace the lifters

I'm doing a full LS3 conversion. Just wanted to hear one with a turbo.

Youtube man. There's tons of them. Look up the tu2 cam, ljms stage 2 or stage 3 turbo cam to give you an idea

I converted my L99 to a forged 416 with a custom turbo grind cam for a 76mm turbo and I'm laying down 650rwhp and 700rwtq on 8-9lbs. I went for the cool sound factor as well which could limit performance down the road if I increase boost, but it pulls hard and sounds incredible with the cutout open - violent is the best adjective under WOT.

Sorry, no video yet and weather is bad for the next few days.

Hell even the ls3 cam is choppier than the l99 cam. You won't get the heavy sound like you will with a N/A or nitrous cam but it will be significantly more noticeable. Even though we all wish we could sound like a big block Chevy it just wasn't meant to be. Personally if I were you I would get in touch with Brian tooley (or a trusted local builder like we have around here) and have him spec a custom cam, because if you're going to spend that amount of money you might as well get something specific to your needs not some off the shelf job.

Thanks yeah I'm having a known guy here on the boards do the install and custom spec me a cam. I'm not wanting nothing crazy choppy and loud, just somewhat noticeable.

Since you're coming from the l99 you'll for sure hear a distinct cam sound.

Would I need a stall converter? My tuner told me if I really want to hear the sound I would need one?

High stall converter is definitely good for building boost at the line. I've only done it once since my rebuild and it snapped the bolts attaching the flex plate to the torque converter. Recommend you upgrade the flex plate and bolts, but definitely make sure you loctite the bolts after install regardless.
