I'm not sure about eclipsing the Z/28 in performance, but I do think the Z/28's are hitting the bottom of the depreciation curve at mid to low 50's. This is one of the fastest depreciating cars I've ever witnessed, which is a shame given the engineering brilliance that went into this car - not to mention that the Multimatic suspension, steering, one-of-a-kind Alcoa wheels, Recaro seats, LS7 motor and Tremec transmission alone are worth at least 40K. Given that GM only approximately 1,7XX Z28's, I think 80% of current Z/28 owners are at the point of recognizing the value of the Z/28 and would not sell for less than $50K. Having said this, there is - and always will be - those 20% of owners that will have to fire sale for any given reason and you'll see some in mid to high 40's (with A/C option) The Z/28's without A/C option, perhaps low to mid 40's, IMO.

I truly appreciate how the GM Camaro team was able to turn a piece of junk Camaro into a masterpiece - and this was one of main reasons I bought the Z/28...the other was that it looks wicked sinister!!

Off topic...what gets more seat time...your GT3 or Z/28?

Well, I'd say about equally - depends more on my mood. GT3 revs to 9000 RPM and sounds like a little bastard out of hell while the Z/28 has that magical LS7 throaty sound and superb low-end torque.

But I will say this, the Z/28 is probably the most comfortable seating position car I've ever owned, the Recaro seats are a gem! GTR is probably a close second, but sold it due to Nissan's inability to service this car in a proper fashion - 1 GTR tech per dealership...give me a break! But is was fun as hell - especially hopped up to 600AWHP - it was a violent b***h to say the least.

Hard to wrong either way! I gave up my Porsche dream several years ago when I attended a car show and realized I couldn't fit in any of them (no interest in SUVs)! I can barely fit in the Z. Leg room is fine, but headroom is tight.

Purchased mine for 58.5K when they first offered the 15% off incentive back in October. Shortly after some lucky few got the 20% off incentive which put the car in that $55K range. These incentives were only offered on specific VIN's if I am not mistaken though. Without the incentives from GM a dealer is a lot less likely to take such a big hit on the car. On the flip side there are plenty of low mile used cars in the low to mid 50's if that fits your budget better

The clueless car description in their listing explains all that is wrong with some dealers trying to sell cars they do not understand.

I have to admit, I do love my creature comforts of a 2SS RS. I know it's not anything approaching the car a Z is and I get that but, here in the Republik, cars and everything else associated with the cost of living is off the chart over-inflated. Ironically, this car here in Sacramento will probably end up in another state in the $50's. But not here.

Come one, come all...everyone step right up to test drive the amazing Z28. Feel free to try your luck at full throttle up shifts but please be respectful and keep the mileage under 412.

This is the problem with these dealers. They have two of these, see the white on in the background? Anyway, both cars are listed on there website at full sticker prices. Why would you list it on your site with no rebate then throw it in eBay at wholesale? Makes no sense to me. If I was shopping for one of these they would be the last ones I called, especially with 400 miles on a 'new' car. Here in PA they can't sell a car as new if it has over 500 miles.

When we bought ours, the first dealer was saw had no idea about the car. The car sat in their showroom for months and months, you would think they would have learned something through osmosis at least. The part that really threw me was the extras on the window sticker, wickerbill and floor mats. Neither of which were in or on the car. I asked where they were and he said, they're already there? I said, do you even know what I'm talking about? Clearly they were no where to be found.

I think some of these dreamer dealers have their prices so high so they can have the last brand new Z/28 in the country. At $80,000+, they'll last a long long time.

Here is a thought for all of you to chew on, would you pay the $80,000 if this was the last 2015 Z/28 manufactured? Would it be worth the extra $$$ in your eyes?
