I would love to see pictures of the front strut piston shaft with the boot off.

Unhappy Koni yellow sport shock installation.

I'm probably the first kid on the block to get the Koni yellows for my 2012 RS. Had them on back order for 9 months. Installed them myself.
Good news: Reused stock springs and the ride is super smooth compared to stock. Have them set to the softest setting right now. Haven't done a slid pad test yet but expect it will look pretty good (GoPoint App). Just make sure your first test drive is to the alignment shop with newish tires for a precision alignment (I put a set of BFG G-Force Comp 2's on before the alignment).
Bad news: They don't tell you in the specs that regardless of the springs you use, they will lower you 1", including stock springs (looks and feels great though). Also, oversize tires may be a problem in the front because the clearance to the strut is VERY small.
Biggest disappointment is that you will not be able to adjust the rear shocks without removing them first (negating a major feature of the shock) because the top of the shocks fit in an enclosed well in the fender and are not accessible from the trunk, as advertised. I don't think they ever test installed these on a Camaro. If they did, shame on them for hiding this issue from the customer. Not easy to remove/replace either because rear is independent suspension. I am going to cut holes in fenders for access once I can determine where to drill. No installation instructions included either. Found a great utube video though that details how to change springs. To undo stock springs from shocks does not require a spring compressor; however, installing the springs on the new shocks will.
I did visit Redline Automotive in Pompano Beach, FL, for installation tips. They were great.
Overall, almost pleased with the product, no so much with Koni.

I'll finally get to feel mine this week when I'm home but RevWorks in Winter Springs, FL didn't have any issues installing. They also gave me the heads up about the shocks so I had to choose how I wanted them setup before they were finished. Parents say they like it (it's their grocery getter while I'm away)

Thank you for the update Retro, I had just about given up on getting a set. You said they lowered the car about a inch with stock springs, the sports are supposed to have a upper and lower setting. Maybe they were installed on the lower perch.

I am currently running BC Racing coilovers with nearly 70k on them. I am in the process of deciding whether to rebuild them , or try something different. I drove a car with the 1le shocks and stock springs and liked it a lot.

Thanks to your review they are back on the list again......

How small is that? 1/4"? 1/8"? 1/16"? 1mm?

What size tires and wheel width & offset are you running now?

That is the problem the Koni Oranges had. I also wondered if you used the lower perch would it still clear the tire. I have 285's on the zl1 wheels.....I don't want to have to run some crazy camber or spacers to get these to work......

I was told before they were ever released that you would have to Drill an access hole to put the Adjustment knob on the Rear Shocks. This is can happen in a number of cars. On my DD Honda, I have to take the entire rear Trunk apart, including the Speakers to adjust them.

I know they did test them as there were 2-3 Sets testing at least 8 months ago

I already have holes in my trunk, so will I be able to use them to adjust the Koni's?

What's the adjustment knob look like? Maybe a remote adjuster like the one for BC Racing would work.

So would these work if someone was running OEM 20x9 wheels up front with 275/40 tires?

This is pretty frustrating...was about to pull the trigger and get these shipped, but now I'm having second thoughts. Make a shot in the dark and turn to firm/ 3/4 firm and live with that decision? Or just go buy 1LE.
