On a road course, it is sustained high heat, not just HP. All cats are one nasty backfire away from failing in a FI car.

My two cents on this one. Im at 515 to the tires with a E force right now. Im hoping to get the car to somewhere inaround 650 at the end of the summer. I bought a set of the SuperCats from Jannety Racing. Ive read the cats will take up to 800 so, I guess Ill find out in a couple months or so. Ive never been a fan of the stink. But, thats me....

Cats fail due to Heat in most all cases.

Many tuner disable the Cat Overtemp Control system and leave it that way which will overheat the cats.

If you have enough fuel pump, and enough injector to support your Mod list, and the car is tuned properly leaving the COT working the cats should not fail.

Many of the Cats that come with aftermarket headers are far too small to flow the HP that many SC cars make.

The best description is an Elephant crapping through a Cats butt.

The Dynatech Supercats are much larger than all other brands and can handle a lot more HP without issue.
