I used to be in the high performance custom car world, I did it for almost 15 years. Unfortunately the guy I worked for was a crook, and thought he knew it all. One thing I did learn was the amount of, "know how" you need to have to do this kind of work, and do it right. That being said, there are a handful of shops I would consider to be "top in the country"
FSP ADM Slowhawk Cincy speed Those are the four that come to mind. If you step away from Camaro5 and do some google searching. You would be amazed at the feedback that is out there for some of the popular shops here on C5. Hell, head over to LS1 Tech lol. For my money, Matt @ FSP will always have my car, when I need work done. He is honest, pays attention to detail, knows his shit, and is well respected by others in the business, his competitors included. The best way I found to qualify a shop, is to ask some other shops questions. Questions like "if you were not in the business that your in, and wanted to get your car worked on, who would you take it to?" Then spend some time talking to their customers, ask them how their experience was. Spend time on the internet reading customer testimonials/complaints.

In my own business, we describe our services and pricing and tell the prospective customer that we need to be a good fit for one another. If we are not a good fit, I refer them to a competitor. There are clearly a number of tuners on this forum. I really appreciate that they sponsor the forum and willingness to share their knowledge. Do your due diligence and make a well-informed decision. Best of luck. Last edited by Nickey31; 06-17-2016 at 09:04 AM. |
