I still haven't addressed the issue with the dealer, but does anybody else face the same problem? Or is it a normal thing?
Looks like I am having a very similar issue.
Anyone else ran into this problem?

Please advice what did you do to fix that

Thank you!

Hm..just talked to my good friend who has the experience. Is seems to be either engine mounts or tranny mount issue (maybe U-joints). Gonna jack my car to see what's going on underneath

I get this little 2-3 second chirp when going slowly when my trans shifts from 1/2 and 2/3... If I run hard, then I don't hear the chirp... It doesn't happen all of the time but I'd say 40/50% of the time. Once I get past 3-4th gear, there is too much outside noise so it's hard to hear if it still chirps or not.

Someone mentioned a fan belt issue..possibly...

joe...

2013 SS L99 26,263 miles I have been noticing when running down the freeway on cruise it seems to stutter or shutter. I don't know if this is the A/C cycling or the fuel management switching back and forth. Possibly mounts? Or is this a transmission issue?

At what engine RPM do you notice the shuttering?

Hey Dizzy sorry it took me so long to respond. I notice it at around 75 mph just about 2,000 rpm. I get it in "D", "S", and Manual mode.

Well, adding to the topic:
I tested/checked the engine mounts and tranny mount as well. They aren't perfect but good so the issue is different. I noticed that happen just like GodWentPunk described it:
1-2 and sometimes 2-3 upshift in both D and M mode. Never heard it in tap-shift mode. I loaded the original tune (which is not the stock tune) but the situation became even worse.
And yes, when I press the gas pedal firmly I do not hear that scarring noise. I would assume it has something to do with A6 shift points.

I have the same noise as well. 2010 2SS L99 A6 as well.

When the car first starts and I get it moving, I will hear a small "clink" sound when the gears change. It only ever happens once and stops happening once it is warmed up and run. If I let the car sit(off) for 30minutes or more, it will happen again though.

Let me know what you find! Thank you

Here we go! My problem has gone (hope forever)
My case: low ATF level. To be safe I drained the whole fluid, flushed the tranny, replaced the filter and re-filled the fresh oil. Quite expensive but I could not be happier with the outcome!
P.S. there was no leak, I lost some portion of ATF when was doing the cam swap. I could of thought about that earlier but was too excited about new cam. When I realized what the problem is, I was like: "what an idiot I am.." but I have been lucky and didn't ruin the transmission. Good lesson and happy end.

2 Phantom20:
So the 1st think is to check the fluid level
Good luck!

Thanks for the report! I was about to get my tranny fluid changed in a month as that was my next step of action. I did complete change of the differential fluid with the limited slip additive, new engine oil change, spark plug change so the tranny was next. I'm currently working a job out of state so the Camaro is with my father for the summer before I head back.

Just to re-iterate, but the noise you heard was mostly when the car was cold (from off), and where it would have a small "clunk" sound as it initially changed gears right? That's the thing I'm mostly hearing right now.

Did you do the flush at the GM/Chevy dealer? May I ask how much it cost you? For the schedule in my 2010, it said to do a tranny change at around the 60k miles i'm at and a flush around 100k. Your message said your schedule said to do a flush at 45k!?

I am planning on doing a tranny fluid change following the instructions in the thread linked here
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120571

from the user Camaro1 that corrected the steps.

The change will only pour out something like 4L or so of the actual fluid so do you think this will be enough?

I already have the new filter, gasket, gasket sealant, and recommended AC Delco Tranny fluid bought and purchased.

Thank you very much for your time

No problem buddy, glad i could help.
Yes, the noise seems to be similar, when the car was cold it made something close to short "rattle" sound right before changing the gears and i think during the change. It lasted about 2 seconds if that helps, it was not like single "click" etc.
yes it takes about 4l of OIL and i went with exactly the same fluid (AC Delco) as per others recommendations - no regrets.
I personally have never seen the schedule the dealers use ) but I believe it is something around 50K maybe 60K miles. I have 55K so it was just the right time.

Dealer does it by method # 2 from the thread linked there
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=120571 ( I did read it as well but found too difficult without proper stands and leveling the car plus i was short on time plus i wanted to be confident they the procedure has been done properly to eliminate any doubts related with noise. too be honest if I had everything, including free time i would do it by myself to safe some $)

to give you a heads up, the whole procedure (parts plus labor) was close to $450 but it was not GM dealer (although they claim they have GM approval as they cover this car make).

Good luck!
V.
