Haven't done the door ABL mod yet .......going to try it today but boy do I miss not driving my camaro...too many mods The light goes to the top .....but it depends on how you re-install the plastic trim to keep the light tube in place. I'm going to get some 3M tape later today to hold the distal end up on the passenger's side I think I'm going to have to sand it down (the drivers & passengers trim) because despite it may look like a lot of light (the pics fool you ...it aint that much light in real life ) but I want to see how much light is emitted after the door ABL mod so I will know how much & where to sand exactly. I want the light to be MUCH MORE than what comes from the factory but less than "glaring" |

Keep us posted on what you find. Alot of us are still waiting for GM to get the light kits out. ![]() Thanks to all who had a hand in this from the start to now. ![]() Great Job. With the response to this GM really should reconsider its stance on this issue, and include it on the 2011 Camaro's.

You need to bend it at the end and Scotch tape it all the way to the end of the clips, the full length of the clip pc, see pic

Thanks for the suggestion To KING MOUSE: I thought of hot glue but here in Texas it gets HOT & I think that the glue will soften too much...but given its a tight fit it might just work Also last nite "it came to me" ...will take some pics which i think will fix the fading light at the end near the passenger door...will keep you posted |

You mean to bend the light pip at the end and making it sit on the trim.

Ok looking at the dash more closely I think it would be better to get a "second" GM light connector to plug in at the passenger door side for the front passenger trim ABL.
I think it would also solve the fading light issue when using only one light source & give more light overall without having to sand anything which may or may not look uneven. I left the light tube pressed against the dash panel with the trim plastic piece fully inserted so that it could leave an indentation so to know where exactly to cut out if needed...wll remove it later tonite & see if it works Here are some pics |

What about using foil tape? I use that stuff on to seal holes on ductwork. It might help to reflect more light.
Think that will work? |

That's where I got the idea. The foil tape would be more permanent, but you might be able to just through a piece of foil behind the very end of the light tube before installing that piece of dash trim to see if the effect will work. |
