That's just wrong in so many ways.

That's why I have a truck.

In 2006 I had a 1986 Trans Am with a 305 Automatic. I got made fun of for having an automatic and a 305. Then I got a 2002 Camaro V6 5 Speed manual, I got made fun of for a V6 but got props for driving a stick everyday. Then I got a 2010 SS auto last year, now I get crap for the automatic again. People will always have something to complain about. I have enjoyed every one of my cars, its easy to ignore those people when your out enjoying your car.

My '73 Monte Carlo had a 454, then I got a '77 with a 305. OMG what a dog. I could never get used to that lack of power. YUK!. My V6 Camaro has WAY more power than that dog...

However, I would probably feel a lot different about it had my first Gen5 Camaro been a V8.

I'm glad we aren't having this conversation about a KIA.

"Pony cars"? No need to be a V8. "Muscle Cars"? Absolutely V8s.

Do people make fun of my Camaro? Don't know. Don't care. I didn't buy it for them!

I bought the V6 because gas prices were much higher at the time and it made sense. Now that we are at 1987 prices the V8 would have been my choice. However give it another year or so and the V6 will be a good choice again.
PS. got Auto so my wife would drive it she won't however cause she can't see over the hood. would prefer manual

People that judge you by the size of your engine or your transmission choice are a joke.

Kind of pathetic really to measure your manliness by those standards.

I had a guy said I didn't make a manly choice going with the auto after telling him I wanted it for a daily driver through stop and go traffic despite owning all manuals before.

Then ended the conversation stating that I didn't feel like such a girl killing people in Afghanistan, but if your transmission is what makes you a man then, cool. I guess.
