My Ridgeline has been hit and side swiped more times than I can count in parking lots and in front of my house! Aholes just amaze me in Colorado!

In all the 28 years years I lived in Texas, I may have been hit once or twice without a note... but I've been here in CO for 9 years, and my truck looks like it's been in a demolition derby!

Believe it or not try what I do.......... Take a hammer and bang up your Camaro. Small hits to the body on every panel, then key it in some areas, then take some flat paint, in my case my C5 is black so I have flat black spray paint on factory black gloss paint. Looks like Mad Max and people are scared to park near me now. So problem solved. I buy used vehicles so I don't expect perfection. I know it sounds crazy but try it ...

I don't know how you guys stay so calm when you're around to see someone hit your car. I had a guy ALMOST back into my car and I lost it, rant included some insults rhyming with punt, luck, and trash hole. Also made reference to the 40y/o guy still being on his learners permit. Needless to say I couldn't handle someone actually hitting my car in front of me.

Getting my door dinged is akin to someone spitting in my face. It feels like the same level of disregard and disrespect.

Just shelled out $60 to get one pulled out of my Focus ST last week. Have NO idea when and where it happened. I always park far and away from people and up next to a fixed object whenever possible. Whomever it was essentially dinged me and hauled ass....if anyone had been parked closely enough when I came back to the car, I would've sought out the ding then and there.

Sorry about your car. People suck...that's why I stay away from them.

For the future, here is an idea for you ...
My car is allergic to door dings (have 4 vehicles but only the Camaro has this allergy).
If I am ever in a situation where a car may need to park near mine, this goes on both sides of the car (20 seconds to install):

Been 2 years - working great so far.
Almost no cost to making them, here is my project thread:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=449921

Lots of positive comments from folks that see them on the car ... however, behind my back they are probably cracking up laughing (but I could care less).

Some of us are very anal ... Take your hammer and bang up your Camaro. Small hits to the body on every panel then key it in some areas .... Problem solved. I buy used vehicles so don't expect perfection ... sounds crazy but it works!

Do not want to hijack the thread ... a co-worker did donate red pool noodles but I wanted the clash color - if someone ever parks next to it maybe they will notice and take more care. Anyway, been 2 years and no dings. Rather have folks laugh (I really don't care what others think of the devices); my concern is not having door dings.

I've got 4 vehicles, the Camaro is the only one that gets special treatment and is spoiled.
Thanks for the warning, if I am ever in Jupiter Florida I'll be sure to park at the other end of the parking lot away from Barbosa, lol.

had a guy i work with hit one of my other cars doors with the door to his pickup so hard it rocked the car.he then started to pull out of the parking place .i stopped him and asked him WTF he thought he was doing and got really unpleasant with him.he wound up paying to fix the dent and now nobody at work will park next to me.i consider that a win...my camaro has no dings,if i see somebody put one in it you might read about it in the newspaper.

A week after I got my Camaro, I dinged a Mercedes! I live in the Mojave desert where the winds are super high. I was new to this big heavy door and the wind blew it right into a black Mercedes and did some damage! I felt horrible. Took a pic of the license plate and left a note. That would suck if it happened to me. Never did get a call though.....
