2012 Camaro V6 upgrades

I just got a 2012 Camaro 2LS and I am working on what I would like to do to it. My first thoughts are getting a ported throttle body and CAI. Also changing out the muffler and possibly x-pipes in the exhaust.

The question I have is this. Are there any manufacturers that stand out over others with these? Any recommendations where to get the parts, etc? Do some stand out over others? etc?

Thanks.

MichaelB,

Thanks for reaching out. We manufacture high quality cold air intakes right here in the US (Michigan) and are the only intake manufacture that insulates the inside of the air box to help keep the heat from entering the filter. We also insulate the inside of the air intake tube with thermal coat to keep the IAT's (intake air temperature) down. Our systems are made of aluminum and Tig welded by hand. The air box is then topped off with a lid that utilizes a viewing window so your can see the condition of the filter. The lid is easy to remove with the installed quarter turn fasteners that hold it in place. You can learn more here https://www.coldairinductions.com/ca...10+501-1099-12 and if you have any questions, feel free to call at 810-392-9999. Thanks!

Hi, welcome! Cold Air Inductions cold air is a great upgrade for your engine. There are other good cold air options too, I am happy with my CAI. I also have the ported throttle body and did notice a minor difference, not as significant as the cold air. The cold air will help you breathe on the front end and new mufflers should help on the back end, I went with Borlas but there are many options here as well. Research the X pipes. I did not do that but it doesn't mean it won't help. Good luck and happy modding. Feel free to PM me if I can help in any way.

The Overkill tune and E-85 option is worth the money, but after the first mod, I kinda agree that you spend a lotta money and don't get much improvement in rwhp and rwtq gains.

Yup...almost wishing i didn't go 3.91's...but didn't plan on going F.I either.

Wonder if i should trade off the 3.91 diff....
