Thanks guys. I guess I'll put my soft cloth concierge gloves on tonight and get hooked up. I have a stick, so the remote start is a no go, but the iphone app is a good backup to have

That's good for remote starting. But if you want it to detect a crash and give you assistance you need to pay.

So I should have kept haggling. Damn! Keeping me on hold for five minutes each time wore me down!

Son-of-a-B!!! That's how they get you.

I hit the button by mistake some mornings when i flip the rear view mirror to night mode. Then I hang up as quick as I can. Don't want to get caught in the trap.

I even tried to bluff and tell them I knew someone who is paying $9.99 but she said their specials change on a daily basis. She also asked what did I pay before and I said $9.99 but the truth is I paid the same last year as I did this year. She probably saw that in the records. Wisenheimers!

I love the remote start. On hot day, which is every day in South Florida it's nice to start the car ahead of time o the car is cool when you enter it. Would be good for cold climates too, but I would a car warm up on idle in less than ten minutes?

We travel a lot, so I like having the OnStar app and NAV in our '13 Camaro and '14 Traverse (unfortunately, the only 'built in NAV' either have is OnStar). Once our free subscriptions were up, I thought about cancelling until I talked them down to $20 a month for both vehicles. Besides the NAV, we really like the app and being able to start our vehicles from the hotel or restaurant to either cool or heat them before we hit the road again. Perfect example is last year on our way home through Colorado when a snow storm had hit during the night. As we were eating breakfast, where my FOB wasn't in range to start the CUV, I was able to start it with the app and by the time we went to get in the snow was melting off it and it was nice and warm inside. Have also used the app several times with the Camaro when it's been 110 plus out to cool it down before we get in. If it wasn't for the fact we travel so much, I probably wouldn't it. (and yes it includes all services)

I find the NAV service sucks. Practically every time I needed it I was put on hold. So I just pulled out my phone instead. When I did talk to them the process was so much less efficient than just saying, "navigate to..." Total waste of money IMO. Maybe it's good for people who live in areas where there's no cell coverage.

I never 'call' OnStar for NAV, I type the destination into the app on my phone, press send & when I go out to my vehicle, NAV is ready to go. Works as well, if not better then any phone app, especially on cross country trips where phones often lose connectivity
