Preproduction Interior Satisfaction Survey

This is intended to gauge how satisfied we as a community are with the interior of the preproduction Camaro.

Some members have expressed concern that the community is overwhelmingly supportive of the exterior of the preproduction and leaked RS Camaro, but support has apparently dwindled over the interior. This thread is intended to determine the level of satisfaction of the overall community until the release of the production photos.

Please comment on your interior preferences.

I voted very satisfied. Retro and modern at the same time. I can definitely picture myself in that seat behind that wheel grabbin' gears!

Looks good.

I voted "somewhat satisfied" for now. I like the styling and the uniqueness of the interior, and the potential for ambient lighting. The climate controls look intuitive and the main gauges look pretty good, if a bit numerically squished on the speedo. The wheel and shifter seem to have a good solid grippy feel. Just going by the photos, it looks like the materials aren't up to snuff in a lot of places however. Some things look a bit ergonomically strange, like the tucked away headlamp switch, the redundant cruise controls on the wheel AND on the signal stalk, and the 4-console gauges. The wheel itself still looks a bit strange but it's growing on me. Until I see it in the flesh, I won't know if those questionable items are really questionable, so I'll still go on the "satisfied" end of the spectrum, but not too far into it until I see it live.

...I don't know... I thought the interior would change a little more but I still like it and I wouldn't change anything. Perfect 50/50 on modern and old school.

You know I love the Retro-New-Age-Simplicity of it all. I love it. I love it. I love it.

Anyone recall the Keep it Stupid Simple Thread or something where some one asked Scott to tone down the intereior or the Guages? Then puts up a pic of a Chirstmas tree with a steering wheel? Geez.

I love the interior.

I only put "Somewhat Satisfied" based mainly on what I saw... Obviously with certain options, colors, etc...my opinion may change.

No HUD...I was really hoping for it. (Again, it may be an option)
No screen...(Possibly an option)
I would've liked to see some "color" to the dash...maybe an accent panel to match the exterior. Something.
I just don't like the non-cockpit feel to it.
The center stack comes down and just wraps under the dash where I would've preferred a more "dual-cockpit" feel where it swooped down between the driver and the passenger.

Indeed.
Heads Up Display. As in; projected information onto the windshield. Think....figher Jet.

And, fwiw, there's nothing saying we won't get that, yet....

I know the difference but I doubt that it really makes a difference. I guess some peoples preferences are different. To each there own. But I dont see the need for a hud. you have the speedo right there.but again to each their own.
