Best daily driver L99 exhaust system...

I like slp loudmout II, but i dont want to cut. I like corsa, borla and mbrp... however corsa seems to raspy and they say borla has some pretty bad afm/drone, and mbrp doesnt seem to have a good idle sound.

It's all up to your tastes (how loud to you want your exhaust?). Are you going to add long tube headers later on? Are you going to get your car tuned to remove the AFM?

Even though I don't have this exhaust on my car, I would say Magna Flow is probably the best exhaust (at this time) for the L99.

But (and a big but) it will be too quiet for most people (without adding long tube headers). But it will help control the annoying AFM noises. And if you decide to get headers later on, it will sound just right (aggressive but not crazy loud like many other systems).

But if your not getting long tube headers, you might want a more aggressive exhaust like the SLP loudmouth, Borla, or Corsa. But these exhausts will be very loud with long tubes.

The best Daily driver exhaust is the stock exhaust. That is just my opinion but I really do think that is true. If you change any one part of the L99's exhaust you are going to hear the AFM changes (8 cylinders changing to 4). It is kinda of annoying, I know because I run the MBRP 3 inch catback (I didn't pay attention that they only make for the LS3), while the v8 mode sounds absolutely prefect, 4 cyl. sound sucks and is very apparent every time it kicks in. This is a factor you need to consider. The stock exhaust is not a bad sound especially after you get some miles on the car and the computer "learns you". And the stock hides the AFM perfectly, I never heard a change until I switched to MBRP. It's not MBRP product that is bad it's the AFM on the car. LOL MBRP good, AFM BAD

On a side note, I'm considering removing my MBRP and putting the stock back in. The system works great for LS3 but not for L99s (sound wise due to the AFM kick in and not anything to do with the MBRP). So if anyone is interested in them PM me with an offer or any questions.

However, lol, if you plan to get a tune on your computer and you turn off the AFM completely, you should go ahead with any exhaust you want with out fear of AFM buzzing. In that case I recommend the MBRP.

I have SLP Loud Mouth II and I love it so far. Today was my first day with it, and no complaints yet.

I plan on doing an axle back system to keep the large resonator up front to help with AFM. Eventually I'd like to replace it with a resonated x-pipe like Magnaflow and Solo make. I'm leaning toward the SLP LMII right now.

I'm going with Muffler Delete first and see if that float my boat, If not then SLP seem to be pretty sweet.

That's some good info right there...

I went Corsa for the resonated X-pipe but keeping the stock resonator and going axel back is a good option for a daily driver.
