Wow --

For once I'm speechless.

(.......OK- 'nuff of the speechlessness..........)

Joe -- great writeup! What makes me even happier is the responses to the writeup.

Team Camaro really has tried to make this the best Camaro ever -- and the best car you've ever owned.

Unfortunately, human nature is such that you will never please 100 percent of the population. -- but I don't ever recall a car that's garnered this much attention. You had to witness the response at Auto Shows last year when we started putting production cars on the floor --

Thanks all - we're glad the Camaro has 'struck a chord'.........

OK, darn it...get out of my head. Joe, you and others have captured my thoughts and impressions of this car precisely. I've disclosed my previous rides in other posts. I've had fun cars, family cars, SUV's, sports rockets, etc. This is, by far, the perfect car for my garage, in my opinion. She'll be in the driveway for a whole month tomorrow (9/18). Each time out has been a dream. The handling is exceptional. The seats are supportive and comfortable. The sound system gives me all that I need...especially when the bass vibrates my pant legs when driving to lunch.

The guys at Oshawa, in brand management, in the design studio and in engineering took their time and brought an absolute masterpiece to the market.

Like "Ohhhh...this Camaro, it's soooo perfect!!" lol...glad you like the car though!
I may as well been on "X". This car was pure joy on wheels, wrapped in sheetmetal.

See, Dursin?!?!?

And Prostock, you're absolutely right...it's not "just a car."

After reading your post - we are more then excited. We can't wait for the car to come. We actually remodeled our garage around the car- LOL It's almost finished - just putting in the epoxy floor this weekend.

Thanks again-
You're very welcome, and I'm glad you liked the writeup. I hope you feel the same way about this car when you finally get it. There's absolutely no other feeling like it!

not soon enough!! I've got 2.5 years to wait, possibly only 2. As much as I want this car (and I do....oh boy, do I want it bad!), I won't put myself in a poor financial situation to get it...that's just not smart.

It is a review like this that will make people pay attention. This doesn't come across as fanboyish, this comes across well-written and well-planned. Congrats!!
Thank you for the kind words. It took me 3 hours or so, to try and figure out how I wanted to write this...I had to get it right...which is no easy task when trying to describe something the English language doesn't have a word for. But I gave it my best shot!

I suppose you could say I have an investment in it...not monetary...but I certainly feel obligated to it, this site and all of you. I went in there expecting to find a two-door G8, good but not great....and I came out thinking of it as a 2+2 Corvette...I was, and am still, floored.

Really?!?! Did I cause the Great Fbodfather to lose his words?!?

You folks have pulled of nothing short of an automotive miracle, Scott. And I'm not exaggerating. I can only imagine how future model years will progress and improve, there's some part of me that doesn't think it's possible. You all deserve every single sale and more that this car earns you...THANK YOU, so very, very much.

Meh...I'd consider it more of a full-orchestra Symphony. I'd call it, Camaro the 5th.

Amazing write-up Joe! It truly is so nice to hear such positive words written so well, especially in light of some of the recent complaints about the car from some members and more annoyingly, the press... Statements like yours just bring it all back, and it reminded me of all my "firsts" with this car: the first time I saw the concept, the first time I saw it in Transformers in the tunnel *drool*, the first time I saw pics of the production version and how close it was to the concept, the first pics I saw of the amazing interior, the first time I saw it in person and sat in it, the first time I test drove a V6, and the first time I drove mine, off the lot and into the wild...

There truly is so much pride in this car. In owning it, in seeing it, in driving it, even in just hearing and talking about it. And as you said, the many complaints out there, I truly just can't understand. I completely relate to your comparisons to the Cobalt, as that was MY last car too, an '06 LT 2-door. I liked that car a lot, but there is simply no comparison. Again I agree with you. I think the visibility is actually better! You really do get used to the Camaro. I also drive an '07 Impala for my police cruiser, and I honestly think the Camaro's visibility is remarkably close, especially considering the difference in glass size and amount. The seats, as you said, are perfect, and I'm not a large person either... 6' and 215 pounds, with an athletic build with little fat, and the seat just hugs me.

Again, thank you so much for your encouraging and inspiring words. Your letter should go to some of these big-market, new car mags who haven't seen the light. This Camaro truly is world class. I am SO VERY proud to own a Camaro and a Chevrolet, and I let everyone know it!!

We don't see eye to eye on a lot of topics, but I have to agree with this writeup wholeheartedly. I too had a few problems with some of the flaws in the car, but as a whole the thing is a home run.... no, make that a "grand slam".

I have import coworkers who wouldn't look twice at a GM product come out and lavish praise on the quality and look of the car. It's shocking how many people completely love the styling and the features.

Most of them don't drive a standard, so I can only let them experience the car from the passenger seat, but it still blows them away.

I make it a point to tell them it has a 6.2L V8 with 426 HP and I've gotten 25.2 Miles Per Gallon on my 25 mile commute to/from work (and they know where I live so they know it's rural roads with several intersections and stoplights along the way and not just on/off the highway)

This car is revolutionary... it's that good.
