I'm waiting on an estimate for the switch to the E85 system. I understand that I will need to change out my fuel pump to a three stage, change out my fuel lines and increase my injectors (looking at either ID 1300 or 1700) and a E85 switch at $400, so I can run either the E85 or 91,93 octane fuel? You guys that have switched over to the E85 system please let us all know what the total cost of this system is and any short cuts or ideas, thanks!

I priced a E85 conversion with ID850 injectors and install at 3k...The fuel pump and lines are the most expensive part of the kit $1200.00 to $1400.00...About $600.00 for the injectors and $300.00 to $400.00 for the sensor...$125.00 for a retune...The rest for labor and shop materials...

Still on stock cubes with a fairly soft tune for now and only at 12-13 lbs of boost. Mustang dyno. High compression, big valve, solid lifter cam, 8,000 rpm!

Cost wise it ran me $3600 for the Fore triple pump set up installed, plus I upgraded my injectors from ID850s to ID1700s which cost me an additional $1650.

It's not a cheap upgrade but I do all my work myself so that helps a lot, $1800 for the
Fore system $1550 for the ID 1300s, you'll be surprised how much fuel lines (ptfe) and fitting are and you'll need a lot of fittings. at my power level I was going to need the fuel system and injector upgrade anyway so doing E85 was the only way to go, just make sure the pumps, injectors, and fuel lines are E compatible.

Wow that's crazy, 8,000 RPM? You're in Flat plane crank/Ferrari/Lamborghini/Porche area there. Awesome.

I'd love to see a video of your tach on a WOT run

I'm having issues posting on here but there are some on FB under Paul Hurlock, me, or on ZL1 Exclusive, and I believe Fountain Race Engines posted on FB a vid showing the tach. Our tachs only read to 7,000 so after that the needle just bounces. Gotta love a solid lifter cam!

E85 is definitely one of the most bang for the buck mods you can do. I'm running the Fore triple setup with Deatschwerks 1500 injectors. I'm now at 698 RWHP and 741 RWTQ. Mind you, my car has no internal engine mods. I'm still considered a bolt-on car. Here's a before and after with the only change being the flex fuel setup.

Lol. Isn't that the truth? Mine isn't that bad because I have a baby cam, but it sure does smell better and the car definitely runs better as well.

This is the 1st time I've heard of this, i'm going to have to read into this.

edit: not that it should change much on my end since my oil changes are around 1500-2500 miles or after 2 race days, but still something i was unaware of.
