I'm trying to replace the inner boots on my axles because they're slinging grease bad. Finding the right boot has been a challenge. One thing that is suprising though is that the V6 shaft and the V8 shaft take the exact same inner boot. The SS shafts have much bigger cups but they step down to take the smaller boot. Here's a pic of the V6 boot and the V8 boot side by side.

I'm going to try this Dorman stretch boot. I won't be stretching it but I think it might work by the dimensions. Part # 614-001. If I had a way of looking up boots by dimension instead of application things would be a lot easier.

If you still have your old V6 axles and they're in good shape you should be able to disassemble them and use those boots on your V8 axles. If I knew they were the same boot I wouldn't have cut mine. Would have worked perfectly.

That would be awesome, thanks. Do you think you could bring them with you to the track tomorrow? I'm coming to spectate.

Around 615 or so. Those axles are heavy, need to get them out before I go down through track . DA is about 1000 feet lower.
