For the life of me, couldn't get the corner tabs to pull out...spent at least an hour pulling and tugging. Any advice? Am i doing something wrong? At this point, I had removed all 6 bolts and pulled out the first tab per isntructions...

How did it come out? I heard that the black plastic doesn't accept paint very well. What process was used?
