We have zero problem making way over 1100whp. If that's what you need all you have to do is ask.

Do you guys have anyone with 58/62s that have got near 1100? Got any graphs?

My car consistently puts out 1005-1075 rwhp depending on the pull, boost level, temp etc but has never made 1100+ rwhp.
I attached the only graph I have on hand, but the car has been heavily tuned on the dyno. It pulls harder on the street than a similar rwhp car with a power adder like say N2O but these are the numbers it makes on the rollers consistently. I'm not sure the car would trap any faster with another 25 rwhp on the dyno, but it would be nice to have more because we always want MORE! My setup: LSA block, Darton Sleeved, 10:1 Diamond Pistons, Callies Rods, LSA Crank, 388 CID by LME, BTR TT Cam, Heads are LSA casting ported by AMP Fuel System FORE triple w/Flex Fuel + Alky Control Meth for extra safety AGP turbo kit, street FMIC, 58/62 DBB Turbos L99 Manifolds, regular intake system option GFB Boost Controller This setup should handle 1300-1400 rwhp but you're getting into the breaking shit all the time territory with a 3900lb car. I've often wondered if the larger FMIC, a set of shorty headers or other smaller modifications would help the car make more power without putting more stress on the turbos. Many shops here in Texas that build and fabricate very nice and high-end turbo systems like Boost Logic & Calvo Motorsports are blown away with the kits quality and design for the price. Together, both shops have pointed out a few areas of the kit that they think could be improved but they always go back to ease of the kit, packaging and cost and say it's perfect for what it does. The Turbos are noted by both organizations to be maxed out and again, in their opinion the perfect turbo for a street car. They believe going larger would only give more lag, slightly more peak and sacrifice driveability. Testing this theory, AGP sent me a set of 62/62 turbos and while the car did make slightly more rwhp and rwtq at peak, it drove completely different on the street. I did not like the drivability at all, it made the car feel like an older Single Turbo Supra, very laggy. The best way to describe it would be going from being pulled by a chain to being pulled by a bungee cord. Sometime this week AMP is dialing in a build exactly like mine, but the Turbos are a set of 62/65s that they ordered after helping me with my car. AMP feels that the limitation on my car is the exhaust back pressure and the 62 wheel. They have no proof of this today but they think the 62/65 will prove their theory on exhaust backpressure on my car to be true by building a power band that is as aggressive as mine but with much more power. We'll know in a few days... I'm eager to see how this customers car does, the only difference between our cars is the Darton Sleaves, other than that, down to the timing chain the builds are the same.

Vengeance, LMR, and many other shops said the same thing about the quality and fitment. A lot of these shops are so use to lower quality kits it blows their minds when they see these kits and all the detail/time put into them, and real engineering. Not just make stuff fit, but little design stuff for long term reliability.

I live in the heartland with a lot of good fabricators and shops and have had nothing but wows from the quality of that AGP kit and it's one of the earliest kits. I have the 51/61 journal bearing borg Warner turbos and they spool pretty quick but being my first turbo car I don't have much to compare it to. I'm looking into a circle d triple disk 3800 stall and 10-12# of boost a solid 650-700whp and using the gfb controller to control how the boost builds I hope to do the AGP kit some justice and prove it's potential around these parts. My tuner is seriously considering this kit to add to his 416 stroker 5th gen that already runs 9s on nitrous. Shout out to Kevin for building a quality product

Wouldn't this be a great turbo to use? Expensive but would make great power and spool quicker than a 62/66

Precision quality has really gone down the toilet last few years according to Calvo Motorsports & BoostLogic. It may be worth contacting XONA in Texas for something custom down the line.

I'll end up with 62/65 garrets I bet. I'm trying to decide how much power is useable. Quicker spool or the extra 100hp is the question.

I've only seen one AGP kit in person but looked nicer than any other kit I've seen. If I ever get a 5th gen an AGP kit is probably the first thing I'll order for it.. that and a decent fuel system and either meth or E85 and you're making shit loads of power for fairly cheap (vs. Corvette world anyways)

The only times I've seen people have issue with Precision, is where a unit is perhaps too small for the application, or their oil journal units seem to be a bit hit or miss. I've used Precision on quite a few engines and have one of those 6062's sitting waiting to go on an RB25 Nissan engine. None of them have ever given any trouble, and the oldest unit, a 6262DBB has been in use for some 11-12 years or so ! but right through to new units like the 6466 and 6870 all work great. Although never used them on a V8 application |

The ones That I've read about failing are 7675 setups on 5.3-6.0 engines pushing them hard. Same reason I don't want to do 58/62s because I'll have to push the shit out of them.

Is anyone using zl1 manifolds? I thought I saw a post saying they had to be modified but I can't find it.

Why? Spend money/time elsewhere. The manifolds are not even close to an issue.
