Cold Air Induction here, with washer bottle relocate and Apex air scoop. Love the gain, love the improved response, love the "whoooosh".

Also had a Cold Air Induction CAI on my first Gen 5, a 2012 1LT. Definitely improved performance on the V6.

Same here .

I have a Cold Air Inductions, and I'm only moderately happy with it.

First, I bought the chrome and paid extra for it. I don't know what I was thinking. I should have gotten the black.

Next, the top cover has these awful spring-loaded allen screws that flip flop around while you're trying to get them to engage and tighten. Scratched my box when the allen key slipped out of the screw due to the instability.

While I do like the throaty sound of the intake, I feel that the box rattles when you're at WOT or close to it. Again, I think its those awful fasteners on the lid that contribute to that.

The intake pipe requires that the MAF sensor points straight up. I spent alot of time that first day making sure it didn't scrape the underside of the hood when closed. It doesn't, but still not a fan of that design.

Just my opinions. It's an expensive piece compared to the other options out there, and I thought it could have been better.

Negative... its the original for the 2010. I love it... a little bit of a process to clean, but worth it if its something you can really feel.

I agree....dont like the look of clear cover on the CAI brand either. If I was to replace mine it would be with a Roto Fab or the z/28. Everybody has a preference.

I'm curious on the redesign vararam.. I like my CAI but it blocks the view of the polished alternator I have, more than I want and been waiting to see what the new vararam ones look like. There is a intake very very similar made by a local company here in NY called New Era and it looks really good. They are made from aluminum. I did not go with the New Era one just because of where the air flow sensor was placed on top center of the tube.

Funny how you mention Michigan and everyone knows about the "water", when it actually only caused issues in less than 1000 homes in one city.

CAI is in Riley MI, about an hour away from Flint.
