Cheapest isn't always best!

I agree cheaper isn't always better, but I also do not like getting ripped off just because I am paying for a name. I have used Reliable before with some of my other cars (exclusive carrier Dodge uses when transporting their new vehicles), but I have always been one to shop around.

Google/yelp helped in finding an alternative. Multiple good reviews gave me some piece of mind. Professional brokers will furnish insurance policy info for their trucks, etc. What sold me was one truck pickup to drop off. Reliable wanted to load/unload my car 2 or 3 times. More likely to wear it the clutch, damage something on my car, or god knows what else.

As long as you do your homework and address all concerns there are plenty of people that can get the job done!

Search is your friend. I posted both on Corvette Forum (under the same user name) a thread where I looked at every carrier I could think of, plus some from others. Reliable is good, they take a month minimum to use - they do their own logistics and then deliver the cars with their drivers..thats important.

You have to be careful, some of these firms contract drivers, menaing you could get a drinker to move your baby. I looked specifically for folks that did their own logistics and then carried the cars. I've had real luck with Ken Currier of "Steel Toy Carriers", he moved my Vette twice, each time he picked it up and drove it to me for abou $1000 to $1200 in an enclosed carrier. Very nice truck, he also moves all McLarens in the USA for McLaren. When he showed up once he had his last one on the run to deliver..a volcano red mclaren mp4-12c spider.

A funny story..Ken told me that McLaren sent him to pick up McLarens from across the US, bring them to Philly to flash the car and update their 12's to 13's at McLarens cost...thats the way the other half lives.. BTW I had purchased my Z06 from McLaren Philly with 740 miles on it.

Kens a class act - highly recommended.

Moore is out of Richardson,TX and they go up to MI. It isn't enclosed, but might be worth a look. Chrysler uses them alot.

Here it is getting loaded up yesterday morning. It was supposed to be Friday evening but ran a little late. SO as of Saturday morning, my car is in the trailer! Glad I have a busy week at work this week, otherwise i'd go stir crazy thinking about it.

#241 a/c, radio. Close to yours if I remember?

White/black trim has always been my preference, save for my old red/red Iroc.

White's Z's are the sexiest color combo with the black, hence why I searched for one, without a/c though with hopes of more appreciation.

Just used Reliable to ship my car from Colorado to Massachusetts. Driver came on first day of pick-up window, delivered three days later. Car stayed on same truck the whole way. Very satisfied customer.
