As far as I can remember, there are only 3 different "major" LFX intake manifold shapes. The Camaro intake (shown on the right) flows the worst in it's stock form. The Colorado (Shown on the left, also used on Impala and other similar) intake is about 10% better than the Camaro intake. The one in the center is the Impala Limited intake manifold. It's about 3% better... I don't think the Impala limited intake manifold would be worth the hassle to make it work. The Colorado one may, but like I said, it's a lot of extra hoops to jump through to get it working on the car.

Good info. Kinda surprising the Camaro flows the worst...
Wonder if the CTS/XTS variants are any different than the three shown above....

Alright guys for those interested in did finally mock up the manifold and fits perfectly under the hood no issues... connections look like they should be fine...may just need some longer hose which is cheap and I should have some laying around... anyway I should have it hooked up by the end of this week I'll take pics and try to give some direction to anyone interested

Man, that looks like a tight fit when the hood is closed. I think I'd rather port the stocker for the 10% gain and larger 80mm TB. However, I do applaud the effort in swapping it on to see if it would work.
It's very surprising that the stock Camaro intake flows the worse. You would think that since it's a sporty car, the intake would flow better than the others to gain higher peak HP numbers for marketing. Has anyone split one of these LFX intakes apart to see what the shape and length of the intake runners look like inside? |

I have yet to mock up the 80mm need to do some measuring since I'm making the adapter myself I'm thinking it should by just eyeballing it....and fits snug for sure but that picture it was not seated correctly so should have a Lil more room than that

so, it only works if you use the Jac Fab Spacer? From the pic it looks like it will hit the valve cover without it.
