Had I not had health issues I would still have my 2014 1LS.
Car was spot on perfect in every sense of the word.
My 2013 2LS was a nice car too. A couple of small flaws, but nothing worth complaining about.

Made the switch to my 2015 2LS now, and am happy with that.

These are great cars.

So you never abused it but you know how the clutched slipped at 3-4K RPMs from a dead stop?

The revs hang because the EPA so you don't pollute. Yes, that's some BS but you learn to deal with it.

This isn't your $50,000 Mercedes that wipes your nose and polishes your finger nails. And I have put more than one of those to shame when the light turns green.

Go get a malibu if that's what makes you happy.

odd,my RS is pretty near perfect.does use i quart every 5,000 miles .im guessing thats because 5-30 oil is very thin.never had any problem with the automatic trans.your old english teacher would be proud of your wobbly command of the english language,IMO.

Hey, your reference to my uncle Jimmy Hoffa caught my attention. Our family have narrowed down the two most likely outcomes to be: #1 He's buried on the 50 yard line of one of many football stadiums - or #2 He was hired about 10+ years ago to head up Ford's Mustang project. Either way, he's stopped making a name for himself.

My 1LS is perfect. The shifting was a little clunky until I flushed out the clutch a few times and installed the remote GTO reservoir. Now, it shifts like butter. Best car I've owned to date. Fast, smooth and solid. Every time I get to drive this car, I love it.

All cars are different- they drive and shift different. You have to learn how to drive them- especially with a manual transmission- blend the gears, rev match, etc. Some cars have more of a "rev" hang than others, others the rev's drop so immediately the drive train can appear to be clunky. And the Camaros- V6's and especially the V8's have so much torque and that the transmission can be "clunky"- especially if you are used to driving imports that have HP at the higher RPM's and almost no torque at low RPM's. In comparing the SS I just got to owning imports most of my life, the transmission seemed clunky at first. And there is no rev hang at all so I have to keep my foot on the gas and "massage" the shifts so there is no back lash. Drastically different compared to my WRX, which has rev hang. So when I go from one car to the other it's quite an adjustment.

Other than the poor suspension on my 2011 (I need to swap out the front struts and insulators to a later model to get rid of the knocking noises) the SS seems tight and quiet. The burning oil in a brand new car seems odd- was the car broken in properly? It is possible that you have a lemon although lemons can happen from any auto manufacturer if you get the unlucky draw. I have had a few troublesome factory defects in brand new cars from the many I have owned that have stumped dealers that I had to fix on my own. So defects are possible in anything mechanical or electrical. That's why new cars have warranties.

True, but I'm kicking myself for buying my SS and then 3 weeks later finding the ZL-1 I SHOULD have bought.

Interesting since I bought my 1LS over four years ago and I have almost 88k on her with the original tires and brakes....and that is even after getting rear ended by some sleepy uninsured asshat that was going 55 to my 20. Hard hit and almost 10k in damage. Still drives great today. Try driving my 71 with the M22 four speed...that is a beast.

Sorry to hear about Albert88's issues. However, at 95K miles, my '11 still runs and drives great. No interior rattles what so ever, still looks new inside. No leaks, no undercar rattles, no rust, nothing like that. Sure, there's quite a bit of hard plastic on the dash and doors, but you know, it seems to be holding up pretty well.
