How about this?

Look at the fastest reported trap speeds on this forum, and then ask those individuals, what intake they are using, and remember to ask if their intake manifold and TB is ported as well, and oh, if they stripped weight from the car (gotta keep it real), makes perfect sense to me .

Then look at the Jannetty dyno spreadsheet, and compare....then number crunch to the top case scenarios, and you will make a proper informed decision.

That is a great spreadsheet. I bought my car used from a dealership and was pleasantly surprised to find a CAI intake already there. Looks like the previous owner did his/her homework.

Yeah, mostly agree with you... get what you feel is going to compliment your bay.

Best to speak to a local tuner sponsor about long term goals, benefits and negatives for each intake system. No one is "best", it's like buying a 10,000w amp for $100 without looking at who made it (Goldstar) and then claiming it's the best on the market. Specific build applications call for specific intakes to maximize any performance gains. Hands down however, your purchasing Vararam, Z/28, Rotofab, CAI or you're simply wasting your money. Unless of course you live in Cali country and deal with that bs CARB.

Generally not recommended unless you are FBO, as it unquestionably offers the highest HP/TQ available anywhere with FBO applications.

Only to the uninformed or to those not in the know or to trolls. The Z/28 has been tested and found arguably the same or marginally better than Rotofab. For stock applications, Rotofab and CAI with air scoop offer the highest gains.
