I agree with Fenwick. Our training academy has held special force on force training scenarios for various community leaders over the years. They are placed in a position of authority and asked to resolve a scenario based encounter. They are told it could go perfect or all hell could break lose.

Needless to say we have had a lot of innocent role players shot without cause. Those playing the role of "police officer" come away with a different perspective and deeper understanding of what we do. To bad more people can't experience this training.

My name is Ted. I simply asked a question to the Law Enforcement Officers here what they think about the Black Lives Matter Terrorists. Is this ok or will I be arrested and jailed for asking this question?

I support LE 100% and thank you for your service.

My former job was Regional Sales Manager for one of the largest Petroleum Companies in the world. The position required extensive travel all over Latin America and most of the Caribbean. I will tell you that most every country south of the U.S. is lawless. The Police are corrupt and bandits and gangs have all the control. If anyone has a problem with our country's (U.S) Police Force then my advice is leave America and live in most any country outside the USA. For example simply questioning Police in Brazil will land you in the local precinct jail, beaten and even killed. Mouthing off to a Brazilian Cop will get cuffed and beaten and in many cases beaten to death with no follow up.

To the Law Enforcement Officers here-we appreciate you and your hard work.

You won't be arrested and jailed but we may get written up depending on our answers.

I always carried my badge on a holder that clipped to my belt. Shold a civilian see my off duty weapon, the badge shows as well. Then again here in Montana few get excited about seeing a weapon. Plus, I have helped out at scenes occasionally and the badge clip, will clip to a breast pocket and people then know your one of the good guys.

Upon retirement the Agency gave me a neat little "retired" badge in a holder. Allows me to keep my retired ID and my LEOSA ID along with the badge in one thin "wallet".

Like many of you we were reqd to carry ID, cuffs and a reload when carrying off duty.

I would also agree with my brothers above, carrying a badge of any sort out side of law enforcement is simply asking for trouble. And for those who open carry, it's your choice but if I was a criminal going to commit a crime and you were on scene, your weapon would be the first thing I would take and you wouldn't see it coming. If they don't know your carrying the element of surprise is on your side. Food for thought.

As a CCL holder I whole heartily agree. I don't want to lose any type of tactical advantage I have at all to a person who knows I have a gun on me. Plus, most CCL holders don't use a retention style holster like the LEO use. I am guilty of this due to needing a holster that doesn't have much more footprint than my weapon. So all a bad guy has to do is walk up to a open carry person and pull the gun from the holster.

Personally, I rather not be that person.

With as bad as these smaller police cars have messed up my back and hips..... I'll never be able to carry a wallet in my back pocket anyway. We are issued a smaller thinner version of our shield to go into a wallet. I bought a custom one that the local Army Navy store had specially made to fit the badge we had when I first started 15 yrs ago. Now we have a more common shield type badge. I normally wear cargo shorts to put my wallet in the leg pocket in the summer and a windbreaker/or jacket with snap or Velcro pockets to carry my wallet in colder weather.

I got a Tahoe last year and they put such a big center console in it, that its not much better than the Chargers we have.

I'm in no way a Ford man, but dammit bring back the old Crown Vic!!!!

Of course now I'm a supervisor, so I do get to sit the desk my fair share which seems to help.

Yeah, I've never been a fan of open carry. If you want to get a permit to carry concealed go for it, but most open carry people I've come across are looking to start a conflict or have something to prove.

On that note, if FCA does shrink Charger as rumored with the next generation, there won't be an agency in the country that buys them. The lack of space with a cage in the current model is ridiculous.

As if the CWP badge wasn't bad enough, now you can advertise to the world that you're an off-duty LEO carrying a firearm!
