Who said anything about LED tails? I'm disappointed about the mirrors being fixed. Does anyone use fixed mirrors in 2010? Did they really save THAT much money on them? I agree with many here that GM better not overprice this car, if they do, they'll be slapping rebates on the hood in no time! Hate to be negative, but I'm a tad disappointed about a few things. It's still a hot car though. Also, what is the "steel heritage rally wheel package" that's available on the base cars?

My dealership won't let you sell Corvette's until you pass the certification and can basically impress me with your knowledge. I'm the Corvette and truck specialist and I train most of the guys at my place as far as product knowledge is concerned. I think with trucks and performance cars, if you don't know what you're talking about, you're not going to sell anything. The Camaro Heritage and history is long and detailed and you're right, most of the people that are supposed to be the "professionals" will not be able to answer your questions properly, and I agree that they shouldn't be able to sell the vehicles because they give the rest of us a bad name. I work hard to keep up with automotive trends and technology, but unfortunately, a lot of guys are in the business to make a paycheck, not because they love the product they are selling. Too bad...salespeople could have a better rep if GM would make a training session MANDATORY!

Too bad most of them won't know how to sell it, but as bullshit artists, they'll make something up. ("Most" does not include such salesmen as are present here, showing their enthusiasm and support.)

I hope Chevy not only TRAINS, but CERTIFIES it Camaro sales staff - so people know who is worthy to talk to regarding the car....and the real good ones follow all the training...Heck there's an idea - start a CERTIFIED THREAD!

Can anyone do a photoshop mockup of the firstgen steel Rally Wheels on the 5th gen? I love those wheels and would love to see what they look like as 18s on the new car...

Then I hit the local Chevy dealer to ask about the Camaro. The lady had NO CLUE AT ALL. ABSOLUTELY NONE. So I start looking around their showroom and stop at the Z06. She couldn't even figure out how to open the fuel door to see if it took premium! I knew it took premium but asked her to see just how much knowledge she was lacking. Needless to say they're off my Camaro purchase dealer list. Anyone know of a "good" Chevy dealer near Nashville, TN? |
