Awesome thanks ill be resting as soon as I empty the tank. I don't know what my dealer put in it, but all I put is Shell V-Power.

I ran mine down to the "fuel Low" warning and filled up at Shell last night as well. I haven't noticed anything different so far but I'll pay attention on the way home from work and see.

EDIT: are you guys using TAP shift???
Won't void warranty. Make sure to run a few tanks dry with high oct. Then do fuse pull.

You may have been feeling the AFM kick in. Do some timed runs to see.

Run that tank dry and fill it up again and do the pull again. (fuse)

So I went to the dyno today, always put Chevron Premium, and only Chevron Premium in, pulled the fuses overnight at 600 miles, now have around 1600 miles.

Sat and cooled for about 30 minutes, and ran the first time.
Immediately ran a second time, dropped around 3hp.
Pulled both fuses, sat for 5 minutes, plugged them back in, ran a third time, hit 8hp more than the first run.

The fuse mod obviously doesnt fix a bad gas issue.

It resets the computer to run the way the engine wants to run. Then as time goes by, the computer nags and nags the engine, until the engine is running the way the computer wants it to run. Better for the powertrains health, better for emissions, better for fuel economy, poor for the driver.

According to the several dyno runs I've had, the computer is tuned to hit right around 11.5 air fuel ratio, for the whole WOT RPM band.
And to quote Wikipedia, "In naturally aspirated engines powered by octane, maximum power is frequently reached at AFRs ranging from 12.5 - 13.3:1"

Our computers are programmed to run rich, for reasons that us, as muscle car enthusiasts, do not like.

I think an aftermarket tune is the only way to get rid of this problem, and next dyno I do, will be with tuning!

I just completed Kooks LTH with high flow cats, Corsa and a tune. The tune put the AFR between 12.8 - 13.1.

In my area (S. Maryland), all Shell stations have $.05 off all gas on Thursdays; is that the sale you mean? If so, then it wasn't a "clearance" sale.

OK guys, I've done the pull a few times, and within a week, it goes back to being not so peppie. What is a permanent fix for this? Something the dealer can do maybe. I'm really getting tired of stopping a stopsigns (and lights) and getting a really soft push off from the engine. Sometimes it will push off slowly, then jerk me forward real fast. That inparticular is really getting annoying. When I do the fuse thing, I don't get that.

PLEASE HELP ME HERE. Am I stuck with this condition for the life of the car? What else can be done?

You have bad gas if it is going back to slow. Run this tank out, got to a different station and fill up with Premium and then drive it about 20 miles. Take it home, do fuse pull over night and all should be fine.

This makes me have to ask, is bad gas alot more common than good gas these days? It just seems that is always answer to to this issue. I'm not saying I don't believe that is the case (and I'm sure it is), but I usually can't be picky about where I get my gas on a regular basis. This is my daily driver, so I have to get gas where ever I can at the time it goes down. I usually stick to the big names though, like BP or mobile. Should the sensors really be that sensitive in any car? Basicly what it comes down to is if I want to have a good running (and peppi) car, I have to stress over where I'm going to get gas every single time. Is this really what it comes down to or am I over thinking this?
